  1. The lack of cars is probably due to Hurricane Ian. Lots of people suddenly need cars, plus FEMA and other responders flying in need cars. I have seen this sort of car problem in other major emergency situations, but usually the car agencies can move more cars into the area for specific clients, like the federal government. However, the car agencies don't have the excess in their fleets like they used to prior to Covid. I agree with the suggestion to use Uber/Lyft.
  2. The link @ColeThornton provided works fine for me. It is the specific board for Oceania cruise line.
  3. 🤪🤪Posted the same picture from NS in July.
  4. As to Terminals, it takes research. Assuming you are flying United from ABQ to DEN, then AirCanada from then on. In Denver, I believe you will be switching terminals. Toronto, most likely no terminal change. Not sure who you are flying home, so can't predict that. Going to Athens, you won't see your bags until Athens, if flying United and AirCanada. Flying home, you will need to claim your luggage to go through Customs at JFK. You will be "In transit" at Toronto, so you will do a passport check when you get off the plane. Just did it in Toronto in July...you do it on a kiosk, get a receipt, and you are allowed into the "In Transit" area. You will do Immigration/Passport Check (can take time) and Customs in Athens. Customs in most of Europe is the Red/Green system. After claiming your luggage, if you have something to declare, you go into the red line, if not, you go into the green line, and exit the Customs area. Usually very fast. Coming home, you will have an extra Passport and security check at Athens. Then, at JFK, you will do Immigration, then claim your luggage, and go through Customs. After Customs, you will need to recheck your bags. How that happens will depend on how your ticket is done...same airline or not.
  5. I am pretty sure you will need to take their tram from the side of the ship to the front gate of the port...they don't want you walking in the port, as it is a working port. It was a pretty busy port when we were there in March. Beyond that, I don't know.
  6. What you describe sounds more like you tendered into Kona, as there used to be an Enterprise operation a short distance from where you come ashore at Kona.
  7. If you are talking the mega ships, (like Oasis), they are typically the first to dock, and start disembarking about 6:30. All due to their size and pax load.
  8. A quick look at Google Maps shows it as about a 1.5 mile walk.
  9. It absolutely doesn't matter. You aren't locked in your room...you are out and about. There are views from all over the ship. In places like Glacier Bay, you sail in, then sail out, seeing both sides. Surprised you haven't seen the MANY comments that it doesn't matter.
  10. Haven't heard, but you need to be prepared to mask up.
  11. HAL doesn't use a service. None of the proctored services are free, at least that I have heard of. A search around Cruise Critic finds MANY threads regarding Covid test proctoring services, here was one I found quickly:
  12. Agree...getting signed up for Global Entry would be wise. Also agree, knowing Immigration vs Customs is important. Immigration (without Global Entry) can take considerable time. Customs usually takes much less. With Global Entry, both Immigration and Customs takes very little time.
  13. Ride shares and related stuff like this are arranged on your Roll Call, per Cruise Critic rules. Your Roll Call would be located here: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/269-pride-of-america-roll-calls/ A quick look didn't find one, but you can create one over there. Just follow the naming protocol.
  14. Yep, 28th and 5th for sure. Are you leaving port early any day? Maybe 12/31, but can't be sure.
  15. See answer on your other thread...which was posted 40 minutes after this?
  16. I strongly suspect there won't be a testing requirement. But historically, HAL has provided required testing on B2Bs. By the way, this is commonly referred to as a side to side, or a S2S.
  17. If you have access to the 26 Glaciers tour, its awesome!
  18. I would start with asking this on the NCL board, here: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/64-norwegian-cruise-line/ You might also get some info on your Roll Call, here: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/266-norwegian-sun-roll-calls/
  19. If you look at the comments in post #8, and do a little research, you would see Rhapsody has a beam of 117 feet...too big for the old locks.
  20. Yes. Many...commonly called Baltic cruises, although Norway isn't usually on Baltic cruises, but it was on a B2B we went on in 2013. Putting a relevant title on your thread would be helpful.
  21. Outside the US, typically a B2B turnaround day is usually just another day in port.
