We were picked up by Princess from the Hilton and taken straight to the ship around noon. Boarding had started and there were two queues, one for people with Medallions and another for those without. There was no priority for anyone though those with Medallions got on a lot quicker. It was my 5th time embarking in Fort Lauderdale, the last time was 2019 when we had priority boarding. It was quite disappointing after all these cruises with them (29).

Ive done Southampton, you get to wait in a separate area and are called for boarding after Suites and Elites.

When we boarded Caribbean Princess in December there was no priority for Elite or suites, this was my 29th Princess cruise and the first time I have not had priority boarding for a long time. Last year we got on at Mayflower terminal as Iona was in Ocean terminal. A pleasant stroll from the Holiday Inn in the sun.

Do they still do the ships tour behind the scenes? We are on the Caribbean Princess in 6 weeks over Christmas!

On the Princess ships they installed wifi repeaters along the cabin corridors, never had a problem in the cabin. This will be a prelude to getting the equivalent of the Medallion on Princess, Carnival did say it would be rolled out to all brands.

Mine still says it finishes at the end of the month.

Now I know there is a 15 drinks limit on the drinks packages per day, but if you got the Deluxe package which includes doubles would that count as one of your 15 a day or two?

I have done this twice, its not too expensive and nice to have free food and drinks with decent wi-fi. I would certainly do it again No need to book, we just turned up, quite a high throughput of travellers so no problem with seating

I seem to remember a post on here about Arvia only being Freedom dining, is that right? I have just booked a cruise on her and there is sort of the option to do early or late sitting, I say sort of as it says closed next to it but it can be picked, IT glitch?

You can book a cabin on the early saver fare, its the 8109 above.

I was on the phone to my favourite travel agent this afternoon enquiring about a suite on Arvia in 2025. I had looked a few prices up before ringing them so I knew what should be the pricing. The Select fare offered me a cabin I quite fancied so I went back to try the same cabin on early saver (about £1100 cheaper) and it wouldnt let me book it. Hence I rang the travel agent and she couldnt see it either. I was on the P&O website and tried an Early Saver fare but let P&O book the cabin number, this let me book what appeared to be the same cabin but you couldnt be sure though it looked like the last cabin on deck 9. I mentioned this to the travel agent who I have usually had excellent service from, though never had this particular agent and she said if you book that on the P&O website as an early saver they will change the price to Select. I said if I pay a deposit on the price on the website they have to honour it. She said you cant book Early Saver Suites, I almost called her a liar and she got very aggressive saying she was right, no early saver suites. She then said she would ring P&O in the morning to see who was right. I guess my question is do P&O offer some suites on Early Saver fares and others on Select fare only? On a Select fare this cabin is available which I quite fancy: If I choose Early Saver this cabin comes up which I dont want as its on the promenade deck and you cant book a deck 9 suite However if I go through let &O choose my cabin on Early Saver it doesnt give me the option to choose my cabin but does give me this option that I would think is the missing cabin Do P&O not let you book all cabins on an Early Saver fare, seems a bit sneaky to me if so.
