  1. I wanted to give a shout-out to on board guests services. I have found their responses to be timely and thorough. Sometimes, they immediately have the answer. If they do not, they will respond to say they have reached out to another department or in one case the other department responded back to me directly to say they were looking into it for me and would get back to me. I always found the former on board guest services helpful and the new on-board guest services is doing a fantastics job IMHO. Keith
  2. Nancy, I hope you can get back to Singapore. Even in the years we visited Singapore starting in 2008 there have been lots of changes. I hope you get to see it again. We would like to get back there at some point as we enjoyed the area and found it so easy to get around on our own in addition to several formal tours we've done there. One was by A&K. We also spent time their post cruise which was great before going on the flight from..........well I'll skip the word I was going to use but what started with miles involving two flights became due to an elimination of a flight months before we were flying replaced with four different flights. Will never do that again. 😀 Singapore is one of those places where you feel very "safe" as a tourist. And although not as big as Bangkok there are some Jim Thompson stores there. 😀 FlyerTalker and thosby thank you for having shared the photos. I remember when I first saw the post by FlyerTalker I was glad to see them. It reminded me when we travel in the USA and abroad when I see the name of my former company as its name changed twice during acquisitions but I only think of it with its original name. Keith
  3. I have read this over a few times since you post it and it seem to make sense to me although in the end as a guest rather than a TA It's something I would think a guest would not need to understand. My simple understanding is they are commissioning this before the adjustment is made for the voucher recognizing all the work the TA does. At the same time if I am understanding what you were told the initial bonus program which I believe provided higher than normal commissions has ended but that applies to all bookings regardless of whether or not it involves a voucher. May I ask what is unclear about this? Keith
  4. I know the original poster and have messaged with her about the information she received and she has shared what she was told by her TA who has very seasoned and has booked Crystal for years and is one of the top producers. I will see what I can find out but don't want to speculate on whether this is how it will work and, if so, initially or long term. If I learn something concrete before we sail I will share it here and where it was originally posted and if not, I will inquire while we are on-board. Keith

    Tickets

They have not been sent out yet. Should be soon. We are all in the same "boat" on this. I know their plan is to get them out much earlier but this is one of those things that is attributable to being on the first cruise. Keith
  6. That is correct. If you have more than one claim as we do, then they say only one claim is entitled to priority payment and the rest becomes unsecured claim. When I first received the information I had to read it a few times to figure it all out. Keith
  7. My guess is it's wrong. After I saw it I reached out to someone who would know. Awaiting response. Keith
  8. Per person and I just posted something right above this but it looks to be $2,250.00 according to the court information I received today. Keith
  9. I received something from Crystal Claims today abut a filing with the court which modifies various claims and mine was listed. It was been modified to $2225.00 person (close to your number) for a total of $4450.00. Same for several others listed with it being $2225.00 or $4450.00 depending on the number of people on the reservation. No guarantee we'll see this amount. I've always expected Zero and am at peace with that. Keith
  10. Oh no worries. My comment was not directed to you. You and everyone except for three people on this board use it as it was intended. once again good point about Instagram and I will be asking about this and if there are additional places so more people can see it Sorry for any typos. I am walking. Keith.
  11. Surely I was giving my own opinion. Surely you do this often. Some people give their opinions but do it without that obnoxious smiley face that just two or three do as a put down. And someone can say the sun rises each day and sets and surely someone would have to disagree. Cruise Critic is about opinion and surely usually there is not 100% agreement. If there was every thread would consist of a handful or less of comments. So it goes.
  12. Even when it is rainy outside and you can't go out and play, there is sunshine inside the ship with lots to enjoy and do. Keith
  13. Just an observation. The venues are not eve complete and it seems that people don't like the look. Speaking for myself it will be great to see the finished product and to dine there in person. I am sure it will look great. I have found over the years what one person thinks is a bad table another one loves. Waterside is a great example of that. Keith
  14. I hear you and fully understand that some people do not have an instagram account and even if they do most people don't check everyday to see if something was posted. I know I don't. 😀 I already have this as an item which I plan to ask them about at the appropriate time given comments I have heard from people including now yourself. It is two-fold: Why do they limit them to instagram and why are they often kept up for 24 hours? There might be a logical explanation for all of this (often there is) but I thought it was a good idea to ask them about As to the comments made by one or two posters, my approach is never to tell anyone at a company how to run their business. Never have. Never will. II do have a good track record on this as I do of prioritizing questions that people have. I certainly don't take them all forward and I certainly am very well aware of how busy people have. With that said, this is a good one to ask about and I will in due time. Thank you for mentioning this. Keith
  15. As they say you can't make this stuff up. I had another funny one in text today very similar to this where I described someone in a photo saying smoking instead of smiling. Now that was auto correct. At least I hope so. Keith
  16. LeeAnne here's some photos and some people who were getting ready to put on their gear. Keith
  17. LeeAnne I did. In fact, I ran over there a few times as it was early in the morning and not crowded. Later in the morning I would walk around. I may have seen you on one of our visits. When I lived in Northern California back when the Sunday Section of the newspaper had an enormous travel section I would see those ads for going to Catalina Island over the weekend. When we were there I saw those charters bringing people over to the Island. Keith
  18. Thank you for the recommendations. I've just written them down. I know we visited Marseille just for the day in 2018 but didn't visit these villages. And I always enjoy local wine. Keith
  19. Please be aware that Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity have gone through several dry docks over the years. Most of Symphony has been completely made-over since he maiden launch and a good portion of Serenity has been gone through a make-over. Speaking for myself my experience is that other than a few mistakes (initially removing couches from Symphony standard rooms and installing those fish bowl sinks) that the results were a big improvement and enhanced the look of the ship and the utilization of the space. This includes (Symphony) when they open up starlite, updated the reception area, Crystal Cove and other areas of the Crystal Plaza, created Pulse, redid Prego, Beautiful Palm Court, Updated what became the night club area, rolled out Tastes, along with several other enhancements including creating Waterside and Marketplace. Likewise (Serenity) went through many enhancements including updating Tastes, Creating Marketplace, the change to Waterside, redoing the shops, redoing Waterside, Enhanced Palm Court other than reducing the size of the dance floor, updating Stardust, updating the Computer University, updating the PH Suites, along with some other changes. Other areas that people have complained about are being updated in this dry dock including the makeover of Prego into Oseria D'ovido. I do want to remind some who are new to Crystal that when Serenity came out, a spanking new cruise ship, some were critical of the colors including the choice of colors for carpeting. I suspect the changes will be well received. Will everyone like all the changes? Of course not. Why? Well why do we decorate our own homes differently than one another? Let's see what people say when the see the changes. My guess is that most will see this as being positive even though not everyone will like each an every change. Keith
  20. I am rejoicing that the sea trial was a success and that the fire-resistant panels were properly certified and not defective. I feel bad about any other ships that are impacted along with their guests whose plans have been impacted but what is most important to myself and those on the first set of savings is this was a major milestone as Crystal Serenity returns to service and I hope that when it's Crystal Symphony's turn that all goes well for her too. Keith
  21. Six years ago. Visit to Catalina Island. Irony is first visit for us and then we visited another three times on other sailings. Keith
  22. Actually not. People make a big mistake when they speak in generalities. Those who have sailed Crystal for many years do not think alike nor do they agree on all things. For example, some have always welcomed the evolution of Crystal. I know I have. And continue to look forward to how the line evolves. For example, I am happy if the new Italian Restaurant's menu has a totally fresh look. There are others who prefer were resistant to the evolution of the product including those who were not happy when inclusive was announced. The same goes for everything i life. All British don't think the same way. All American's don't think the same way. All Males don't think the same way. All females don't think the same way. Sure there are things that those who enjoyed Crystal enjoyed but that does not mean that they enjoyed everything and would not want changes to occur. As to old ships and new ships. Most people I know would like a new ship(s). However, given the choice of sailing Crystal now or waiting four or five years for a new ship the answer is Crystal Clear. Again in this world of ours people like to put everyone into a bucket. That is a big mistake.
  23. 9052 is a former Seabreeze so it is from 2017. Keith
