  1. I agree. The Bistro is so nice. I remember the first time we sailed Crystal back then we had never seen something like The Bistro. On our sailings in 2021 it was open in the evening on Serenity from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. As you note, on your sailing it might have been due to staffing as on a few of the cruises some crew had gotten Covid and were in isolation. Keith
  2. I've looked at the deck plan and to me on decks 7, 8, and 9 non of the standard and single rooms have a combo-bath and shower but rather a shower only on Serenity. Major work is being done and they list this in the descriptions of having a shower so I am pretty much certain no combos. To know for sure I would recommend calling Crystal but I am almost certain that will be the answer. Keith
  3. It will be exciting to see each ship and all of the enhancments. Keith
  4. New Crystal is carrying over the many amenities we all enjoyed and enhancing the product in other ways. It is indeed very exciting. We are ready to go. Keith
  5. Great news. So glad you were able to book the suite you had before. Keith
  6. Your question is actually one of the Q&A's on the Crystal Website. WHAT HAPPENS TO MY SUB-CREDIT IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY BOOKING AND/OR REBOOK? If you cancel, your sub-credit will be added back to the Credit on your profile, less applicable cancellation fees.
  7. I just saw your post and see that PaulMCO replied and yes one claim for both is fine as PaulMCO said. Keith
  8. Thankfully in life there are some products that we have come to truly love and Crystal is one of them. I also have some Sports teams I very much enjoy along with certain sports. As to questions. No and No. Just helping to get people answers to their questions as many have them. As to positivity, nothing in life is perfect but I am very thankful that we discovered Crystal in 2002 and have enjoyed it immensely since then. We've sailed other lines since and before then and while our thoughts on them vary we've only had one cruise on another line which was a perfect storm. If something could go wrong it all seemed to happen that one time. And I do love my car and have bought the same car a few times starting since I believe 1993 although the model evolved and it's letter/number changed. And I do have favorite foods too. 😀 And I just love to cruise. 😀 And Crystal is our favorite. 😀 Keith
  9. Yes, I have verified that the correct date is 12/31/2025 and that is what it was supposed to have said. You will likely get a revised e-mail acknowledging that but for sure it is 12/31/2025. Keith
  10. Nine years ago today we visited Bom Bom Island. Amazing day on this small island. The crew brought over food, drink, paper and other products, charcoal grills they created, tables and we enjoyed a fun time. Hot Dogs and Hamburgers similar to what is served at the Trident Grill. I hadn't had a Trident Grill Hamburger for many year before that and it was delicious. While we were off Africa it felt like a Polynesian Island. The Crystal Crew is amazing and our visit was another example of that. Keith
  11. Jeff, this is a very manual process. This is what I posted this past Saturday night. Keith Crystal has processed and approved hundreds of the forms submitted and should release them in the next few days. This is done manually so it will take time to get through them.
  12. Does 1 + 1 = 2? Appreciate everyone's thoughts. Keith
  13. This is one I am going to disagree with. Like all companies their goal is to be profitable for sure. And yes, I think if you have had to cancel a cruise they ask for more documentation than say if you had a hail storm and your roof has to be replaced. I can attest to both. But in the end, if you provide the documentation and if what you provide is consistent with the insurance you have signed up for then my experience is you will get your money back. I also do not believe the insurance companies will deny something because of their relationship with a cruise line. I base this on personally knowing several people who got a major refund from having to cancel World Cruises due to health issues. Again, the devil is in the details. When it comes to any type of insurance people need to take the time to understand the policy either by using a third party broker and/or reading the policies and asking for answers that point to the actual wording in the policy. Sometimes people make assumptions and when it comes to insurance as well as other contractual issues it is not a good idea to just assume. Anyway, glad there is choice in the marketplace because one size truly does not fit all. Keith
  14. If there was no choice your only option might have been through the cruise line. Yes, choice is good because one size doesn’t fit all.
  15. Absolutely. She loved the, and promoted them. Keith
  16. What each person does IMHO depends on their circumstances and their needs. For example, some people are not concerned about the cruise line defaulting. If that is the case then there could be reasons to book through the cruise line including that the price they pay though the line is the same regardless of their age. For other people they are better off with some other insurance bought through a third party. If someone does want the protection from default and for whatever reason wants Allianz if they find a third party or a TA that offers it and purchase it through them it will cover default should the cruise line go into default. Some people don't buy insurance. Still others buy insurance but only for medical. Others buy insurance for the trip cancelation but have very specific needs such as wanting a policy so they can cancel for whatever reason. I believe when it comes to insurance one glove does not fit all and the devil is in the details. Good to have choices. Keith
  17. This time of year brings out beautiful wild flowers where we live. On land that butt up to our community is an area where various tractors have been retired or as some might say a tractor cemetery. Keith
  18. A question that Ivi and I believe others have asked about is if accepting the Exceptional Incentive will impact the ability to get refunded by Moceker or their insurance and/or credit card, etc. I have been advised it won’t. Moceker’s process is independent, and they will not reduce the claim by the Exceptional Initiative future cruise credits. Therefore, anyone who has a claim, and is already booked, plans to book a new Crystal Cruise or is thinking of bookng a Crysal Cruise in the time frame in which the booking must be made to quality for the incentive, they lose nothing in doing so. If you decide not to book a cruise it would mean you wouldn’t use the incentive. Keith
  19. From time to time I post photos of wildlife where we live including deer. Today I spotted a couple of deer but I guess a new variation. Keith
  20. Crystal has processed and approved hundreds of the forms submitted and should release them in the next few days. This is done manually so it will take time to get through them. Keith
  21. There is always a solution. Here goes: Yes a portable bathtub available on Amazon for $49.99. Keith
