    We had rack of lamb and the 12oz lobster tail. Both prepared perfectly.

    Currently on Rotterdam and the Starlink is great. Neptune lounge concierge told me that since they have switched to it complaints have dropped from 3 or 4 per day to one per cruise.

    Our dinner at Rudi’s last night on the Rotterdam was spot on. Absolutely no complaints.

    The only downside so far on the Rotterdam has been the smell of cigarette smoke in Billboard Onboard and Rolling Stone Rock Room. There is a staircase between the two that leads up to the casino. The smoke from the casino flows down and makes the two venues very unpleasant and frankly, stinky. They need to stop allowing smoking in the casino. IMO. We won’t/can’t attend the venues.

    Had to have been a one off. We’ve had a lot of HAL cruises and this trip food had been exceptional. And we are pretty damn fussy. 😂

    Have had dinner in Pinnacle, Tamirand and Rudi’s. All have been to notch as well as Club Orange. Food on this trip has been some of the best. Like the old days. My rack of lamb tonight at Rudi’s was exceptional. Perfectly cooked and presented. Looking forward to another dinner at Pinnacle this trip.

    Thanks for the updates. I think you have answered my Starlink question as you have been able to have Zoom meetings. Sounds like it it is up and operational.

    Will be interested to hear if Starlink is up and running. We board the Rotterdam on 11/24.

    Never had to clear immigration in St. Thomas.

    Courtesy holds have always been just that and apply only to to new and undeposited bookings. I’d pay on time and figure some other way to try and get the point bonus.

    Never heard of anything like that. Travel is pretty much a “pay for play” operation. I can imagine a grace period would be an impossible slippery slope for them and unfair to those who pay timely. JMO

    My spouse and I have used nothing but tap water in our CPAPs for years…and I mean years. Have never, repeat, never had an issue. We change the water out every evening. You’ll never convince me that the whole distilled water thing isn’t crap. Sorry, but that’s my experience and opinion.

    Apologies if this has been covered, but my searches failed. There used to be a Neptune Lounge reception with officers present one evening at cocktail time. Is this still happening?

    We always bring our own equipment including BCs and regulators.

    2 of us have used a CPAP for years and have never used distilled water. Just replace the water from the tap every night. And where do you think the potable water on the ship comes from? It is desalinated via a steaming process, thus creating distilled water. But, if you are happy wasting your money for an unnecessary jug…have at it.

    Eventually, but the woman who “discovered” me would not believe me. She was very surprised when she was awarded a bottle of bubbly at one of the parties.

    Always said that if you want a specific cabin…book it. Don’t let someone else make the choice for you then stew and whine about it.
