P&O Cruisers - What are things like where YOU are?

My Mum’s isn’t a 4g phone then, that explains it. I did think her old phone wouldn’t get it! -

I’ve spoken to my Dad, he got his but my Mum didn’t, I didn’t think she would as hers is very old, it’s Tesco network which is the same as my Dad! -

Oh I didn’t get a yes/no thing. They said on the tv you didn’t need to do anything. -
I have heard they do sometimes call train strikes at last minute in Italy! Don’t want to worry you but I do overthink these things! In the case I heard P&O did actually wait for latecomers that day but it did sound stressful.

Hi all, I was trying to update my CP today with my passport details etc, why does it never work first time?! So frustrating I’ve been faffing for about an hour and am giving up for now. It won’t say my travel insurance details are completed, I’m going round and round in circles,. Any suggestions? I’ve turned my add blocker off - still doesn’t work. I click the red ‘save’ button then it doesn’t come up completed on the side. I go back into the travel insurance but the red ‘save’ button can’t be clicked - so I click on anything then it lets me save it again - but it doesn’t come up with completed’ again.

They were just testing it today. Apparently in the US they do it for a lot for things like missing children. -

Hubby and I got the alert, mine was a second before his- very loud! I’ll be very interested to see if my mum gets one as her phone is very old. My Dad’s is new. I hope no one crashes while driving! It made me jump and I was expecting it! -
I like going to the shows but I only go if I think it would be interesting to me. We were on a cruise one time and a Madonna tribute was on, several people walked out within the first ten minutes, she was dressed in the conical bra top (she changed halfway through) We couldn’t help thinking these people didn’t look like Madonna fans so we couldn’t understand why they were going to the show! We were just getting to the stage where we’d seen most of the Headliners shows so didn’t always go. There seems to be more new ones now but we just haven’t been able to cruise much lately but I shall look forward to new ones. We also go to bars that might have a piano player in or the limelight club if on Britannia. We’ve never done the quizzes, bingo or casino on board. I always imagined we’d have leisurely dinners when we first went on a cruise and was shocked how quick we were out of the restaurant but then we found we wanted to be if we wanted to see the show and possibly another act in the show lounge. We’re all different, we all like different things.

Morning all, absolutely awful weather again, really grey with some heavy showers! Really fed up with this now as I know we’ve had much better weather this time of year in recent years. Ah well, nothing we can do, I’m off to do some ironing to warm up! -

Hello Jane, I haven’t got the message about logging in with our email addresses? But then I just leave myself signed in so who knows?! -

We had a canal boat holiday when I was pregnant so it was 32 years ago - loved it and always said we’d do another one. Never have got round to it for one reason and another but it was lovely. We started and finished at Stratford upon Avon. -
Can you see excursions offered before you book?

I especially meant Princess’s are much dearer then P&O’s. -

I’ve had an email today from P&O. We’re booked on a four night cruise in June on Ventura and I’ve been offered the chance to bid for an upgrade! I’m in a normal balcony on Lido deck, I don’t mind as it’s only a short cruise. I can bid at least £50 each for an upgrade to a superior deluxe! I was tempted but some of the cabins look they might be over the nightclub. Also I’m nervous my parents health will mean we have to cancel so I’m not going to risk it! -

Epicurean on Iona - Kjartan Skjelde Tasting Menu

The Epicurean is really good value compared to land restaurants. We’re going to a hotel an hour away from us next weekend overnight and they have a 7 course taster menu with wine pairings. It’s £77 each and the wine is extra! We’re walking to a restaurant 10 minutes away for our dinner! -
Great stuff Vanps, lovely pics.

Ahh I didn’t know that, I’m not booking 2 week cruises at the moment or I would like to do that.

Afternoon all, day started lovely and sunny but the wind is cold, Now the rain is beating on my window, wish Spring would warm up! @grapau27 sorry to hear you need both hips replaced. My Dad had one done at 70yrs old and I always said he was leaping about like a gazelle after! He had the second one done 10 years later which took a bit longer to recover from but he was 80 then. I’m sure it will be worth it to get them done. -

Yes I understand that. I want to visit the Alhambra from Malaga, wouldn’t fancy that in August heat. Our grandson is starting school in September, they were very pleased to hear they’ve got their first choice, the same place he goes to for nursery!

I know you want August but it will be very hot and busy. Would love to go on Britannia to the Med but not in August. Unfortunately Britannia is only going late July and August. However I’ve had two cruises cancelled to Malaga and Barcelona both places I really want to go so I like the look of the Arvia one in Sept/Oct as we can get both ports done in one cruise!
