  1. We will be on her for Thanksgiving 2024 and Jan 5th. We should see how this setup will work.
  2. Unfortunately for us as we sail on Thanksgivings and January... Odyssey with only solarium indoor may work better in April.
  3. How did you calculate this? I have not seen internet going over 21.99 per person. ($153.93) When it is package of one person 4 devices it goes even lower per person. Even if you buy 1 device package for everyone it will be $615.96 per week, but it is more economical to buy 1 person 4 devices which allow to login with the same login at 4 devices at the same time.
  4. I think Symphony and Liberty... Voyager/Freedom class (Caribbean/Bermuda/Canada) do not change often as demand is always high.
  5. Have not checked others lately, but this is definitely not the case for Celebrity
  6. Hmmm… so it was ann unusual cruise overall. I know nothing about charters. For my last cruise this January and upcoming one in March internet costs $17.99 per day (I still save more with 4 days of free interment as D+). Those are 11-12 day cruises. For shorter cruises 7-9 days it’s around 18.99-21.99. Still it’s much higher than used to be.
  7. We enjoyed our January cruise on Anthem. Good as always.
  8. In hotels you are already booking category … They already pick your room.
  9. We always book our own cabin because we have a different idea with RCI what is a better cabin. Location is more important to us than a type of cabin. Anyway, we use online agency and book well in advance. Often we pay less for selected room than for GTYs.
  10. I do this cruise yearly and other cruises with multiple nights… I cannot say for sure. It’s all over the place. I’d think lobster night (Royal night) should be dressier, but I don’t see it. It’s dress your best. Also on our last Enchantment cruise first formal night was #3 night, not #2 (Italian)
  11. We had a quality internet in 2023 on Enchantment and Liberty. Both in inside cabins.
  12. I cruise 5 times per year and always have internet, so I’m always hunting for it. I never seen packages with $27 per day per cruise. Is this for several devices?
  13. We had 9-10 cruises with them. Overall like them.. but I like their 90k ships Jewel and Star class. Newer ships Breakaway and later have horrible pool areas imho. Royal designs ships better. Also I cannot understand how NCL runs ships out of NYC area in winter time without indoor pools and solariums. RCI with Quantum class bears them. We like some NCL itineraries. Our last two with them was Star out of Venice in 2018 and Gem out of Boston in 2019 to Caribbeans. Both featured more ports and better ports than RCI on similar itins.
  14. Eh.. I admit, we became more loyal to Royal after reaching D, however we can compare prices and calculate. We don’t pay so much. Also Royal provides so many quality choices from ports where we live … it also goes into equation.
  15. This seems like slow. I usually get much better speed. More than enough for browsing, watching YouTube etc. Whether it is worth $27 per day… well… I pay $50 per months for cable internet with 450… If you buy multiple days price is cheaper. Before cruise for 11-12 dayer it’s aeoynd $17.99
  16. Tons of deals. We book year or even 2 ahead and prices are not really higher than what we had before. When majority is sold out RCI sees that cruise is popular and tries to sell at higher price. If it cannot prices will be changed to lower.
  17. Of course. It is demand that drives prices. For example once a year we sail out of Baltimore on Vision class. In inside (we do not spend much time in our cabin). We could sail for this price with balcony on newer ship, but we like itinerary (12 days South Caribbean) and the fact that we can drive there. Many people live around Baltimore and do not want to fly.
  18. What music from Boston? We sail on Anthem once a year from 2016 - 2019 and 2 times a year 2021 - 2024 All bands in Music Hall play international hits.
  19. Cruises are basically sold out ... so remaining cabins have such prices. If they are not sold closer to cruises price will go down. Royal is masterfully getting money lost during 2020 - 2022 (last quarter) back.
  20. We have 4 more cruises booked for this year. Vision - 12 days in March Symphony - 7 days in May Liberty - end of August to Canada - 9 days Odyssey for Thanksgiving - 7 days 2 booked for next year Odyssey in Jan - 11 days to Southern Caribneans Vision in March 12 days. All prices are sane.
  21. We are still getting good prices by booking early... But the fact that RCI can keep prices up means someone is paying it. If not they will be lowered closer to sailings.
  22. I watch YouTube video so I think I have pretty good idea about new ships. It did not make me want to try. By the way I did not sail on real old ships of Carnival. My tries were on 2 months old Liberty, not old Miracle and not old Glory. I just do not like the vibe. Of course it is just me.
  23. Maybe... I personally do not like Carnival (honestly tried 3 times) , so for me it does not matter. Also people have own preferences ... like smaller ships with better itinerary. Better product is highly subjective. We will see.
  24. Enchantment is a smaller ship with a limited number of balconies. It is supply vs demand. Balconies on Anthem cost less
  25. I do not understand why Odyssey is created the way it created. For sailings from Northeast it is too open. For Florida sailings it is too inclosed. I wish it was built the same way as Anthem. Ok... maybe with Playmakers in Seaplex. We will sail on her from NJ during next winter.. but I see issues.
