  1. Strings? Nudity? If there is no minimum, there is no minimum. No irony,
  2. 1. Wearing simple pants is not dressing up. 2. I understand shorts do not bother you. Can you honestly say that NOTHING will bother you. Nothing nothing? Strings? Nude? People who like last three outfits also think that people in designer shorts are dressing up.
  3. With such unsolicited advice you do not strike me as a person who accepts different opinions. As for different opinions... we took multiple cruises with 8 lines and figured out line that works the best for us. Minimum, maximum standards. We do not have high demands, but there is a bare minimum. Also I doubt you are completely truthful. You won't be comfortable with everything that people might want to wear. But as Overton window widens you will get the same proposition.
  4. During last 20 years we sailed 35+ times to Caribbeans, about 15 times to Bahamas and Bermuda. We sail with my husband. It is our lifestyle choice. Do you think we do not know something about hot destinations and relaxation? LOL. I can write books about it. Casual pants/jeans for 1 hour a day absolutely do not prevent relaxation.
  5. I thought 3 years old were not toddlers anymore. Anyways RCI even has a program for 3-5 years old without parents https://highseascruising.com/royal-caribbean-kids-clubs/ Kids can cruise from 6 months old.
  6. You mean relaxation cannot happen in pants? Well… they don’t have to be too tight you know.
  7. Of course you understand figures of speech. Do you?
  8. Trust me, I cruise 5 times a year and enjoy every second. The very last thing I’d like to do is staring at other people. However unlike other cruises this one (maybe due to it being 5 days?) featured excess of weirdness. In case of crocs I’d prefer to unsee it. However they happened to be too close … together with hairy legs of its owner. I don’t know.. in some reason I remembered Cousin Eddie from National Lampoon Vacations. Did you watch this movie?
  9. I suppose you will be happy sitting in MDR near burping and forgive my language farting person. Don’t forget “live and let live”. 🙂
  10. You are joking about floor lengths of table clothes?
  11. With tables so close they are pretty much near my table. Also this is just a start.., wait for some time adj you will see people in swimming suits with dripping water in MDR
  12. I personally ok with Celebrity match. I liked Captains club breakfast in Tuscan Grill with mimosas, bloody Marie’s etc. However Celebrity often has nice packages. In 2021 on Edge for only $200 pp we had a package of Wi-Fi, classic beverages and gratuities.
  13. If you wear crocs to MDR then it’s not me, but you making yourself looking bad. If you are experiencing joy when people feel uncomfortable next to you then I feel for you. Talk to healthcare professionals.
  14. Bummer is that some people don’t understand simple rules of coexistence. Maybe they live in the woods and just come out for cruises? Who knows.
  15. LOL. Now is this a dumb suggestion? I’m not rich by any means. However I know what is appropriate in various situations, I may travel in inside room, but I always adhere to what is appropriate for particular places or situation. If I cruise with Cunard I will wear formal clothes. On Celebrity it will be less formal, but still more than on Royal. Royal is more casual, but there is a minimum that is appropriate for MDR or even WJ. I’m sure even person from trailer park can afford simple pants and shoes other than crocs if he/she is treating itself for a cruise. And of course I’m wrong mentioning trailer park. Money don’t always buy taste. So maybe people attending MDR in torn jeans or crocs aren’t poor.. just tasteless. 😉
  16. Unusual experience? Why? We had two cruises since menu change. Enchantment and Liberty. We were satisfied with menus in MDR and mostly in WJ. Before I’m told I have nothing to compare … this was our #27 cruise with Royal. #11 after restart. We cruise with RCI since 2004. Most cruises happened starting from 2016 (only 5 prior… and we were not fans of Royal food back then in comparison to other lines)
  17. I has some nice salmon dishes from new menu. They are basically variations of salmon from previous classic menu. Quality vary as it varied before.
  18. Think of it this way… when you chose neighborhood to live or resort to spend your vacation does it matter for you who are your neighbors? Do you want to live in trailer park? You can have a nice house, but around you will be that. I guess numbers matter. Several people won’t cannot spoil your vacation… but if you particularly sit right next to a person with hairy legs in crocs … person in baseball hat in MDR even one person will matter.
  19. Honestly … if coffee had quality that most Europeans drink… we wouldn’t need all additional things and flavorings. Even coffee made in fancy machines on ships is hmmm… not a very good coffee. Coffee made in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cezve which is widely popular in Europe is to die for.
  20. We used to cruise with Princess and HAL, and Celebrity more. Prior to 2016 we only cruised 5 times with RCI… we were still exploring. But now we cruise multiple times a year and prefer to avoid flying. So it’s mostly from Northeast. Royal offers the best combination of ships and we are Diamond Plus. We are staying 🙂 I also fell in love with Boleros. Since restart we sailed once on Celebrity Edge since it was the first ship sailing out of US in 2021! Other 11 were with Royal. We will probably sail with Celebrity occasionally from Bayonne or Boston.
  21. Interesting is that I even added comment about picture attaching incorrectly (probably forum’s bug) and yet…
  22. I wouldn’t say so. At least on cruises we go. Carnival yes, NCL is much closer. Not sure about “anything goes”. At least not publicly. Again, I have limited experience cruising from Florida now and never cruised from Texas, so cannot say about it. On cruises (especially 7 days and longer) from Boston, Bayonne and Baltimore most things are fine.
  23. We also always use tables for two. Always. However I’m sure you couldn’t miss how close tables are placed in MDR. Maybe you generally don’t notice things.. even hairy legs belonging to a stranger in crocs right next to you. Good for you I guess. 🙂
  24. And this is cool.. You appreciate hairy legs in crocs contest next to you enjoy 🙂 . I proposed something that’s not difficult to achieve. Simple pants/jeans will do. When you say you don’t need to look at other people legs in a situations like this those legs can be much closer to you than you think. This is Liberty 3rd floor. (In some reason picture is attaching upside down, but it is clear how close tables are)
