  1. I am a Cruise Groupie. 🙂 I live here on and off for 20 years!!!
  2. Well.. Infinite veranda is controversial. Some like it, some don't As for your second concern .. which ships deck are you looking at. It is the same issue for some decks on RCI. Especially on Quantum class.
  3. There is a difference between not 100% satisfaction and accusation in lies. OP did not say he/she was upset over H&H. Statement was about shiny Lie!
  4. What is a purpose to mislead you? To make you angry so you won't book with them? Are you familiar with Probability Theory. If yes please try to apply it in this situation.

  6. I would say with teens especially. For younger kids Celebrity is good, for Teens there is no comparison... at least it was like that 10 years ago.
  7. This is the same corporation and they have reciprocity in statuses (not all the way, but for Select/Platinum and Elite/Diamonds), also Celebrity often offers all inclusive packages which include internet/drinks/tips. Fares are higher, but with this inclusion you get the best of both worlds. Oh, we are now loyal to Royal (sailed with 8 lines), but for Celebrity I would cheat. Missing my Princess somewhat.
  8. " A Crown & Anchor Society member can be added into a relationship with other family members in the same household and receive equivalent tier status; however Cruise Points will remain according to actual cruises taken and calculated using the Program level accrual system described above. Pinnacle Club member tier status will not be awarded to dependents if earned by their parent and/or guardian. Pinnacle Club member tier status can only be earned by an individual, spouse or significant other by one of them accumulating 700 Cruise Points or more in the CAS program. For all tiers except Pinnacle Club, a relationship is defined as a spouse or significant other and children less than 18 years old. For Pinnacle Club a relationship is considered a spouse and/or significant other. Children will be taken out of a relationship with a parent or guardian upon their 18th birthday date. If it is found that a dependent or child is not immediately removed from a relationship upon their 18th birthday and accumulates a higher tier status outside of this time period, the dependents record will be adjusted back to the appropriate tier status."
  9. In some reason Celebrity has 3 channels with music for Silent Disco. 😀 Blue, Green and Red.
  10. I completely agree with every word about Edge class. Edge, Beyond, Apex... Ascent(?) Ships are amazing!!! The only controversial point is Indefinite Verandas.. which I like, but I only visited such room, never sailed in one.
  11. I watched whole movie when we got back home. Scene is there, but it is not as intense as in the movie. I actually did not understand it completely from ship's show.
  12. We watched it 2 months ago on 5 night cruise to Bermuda and have not seen anything inappropriate for kids. IMHO the whole show is not kids show, but nothing inappropriate. Great show!!!
  13. 27 cruises with RCI and 7 with Celebrity. Both are massmarket, Celebrity is a premium massmarket. It has better quality of food, some premium touches like when you come to Solarium towels are usually placed on loungers and such. Celebrity has nice kids clubs, but no slides and things like this. Large Royal ships of course have unmatched entertainment , but we were extremely impressed by entertainment on X Edge. Larger Celebrity ships remind me of Quantum class of RCI by design and entertainment. I LOVE how Celebrity "revolutionized" its staterooms, including insides. It feels luxurious.
  14. This is a no I think. Kids under 18 will have the same status when they sail with their parents.
  15. I do not think they should have your points. They will will have your status while sailing with you. So they will be Diamonds on your next sailing with them I believe.
  16. 17. Again, I can give you a list of things which I think can be corrected for me. I do not demand it though.
  18. Other cruise lines have other limits. I sailed with 7 lines aside RCI multiple times. What if a guest of 500 lb wants to experience I-Fly and coach will die trying to support this guest? My husband was not allowed as his weight was 254lbs. He understood... (He really wanted to experience that so he worked on it for the next cruise) There are limits in life. On cruises and beyond cruises.
  19. Boarding times are not different. Ship arrives to SJ very early.
  20. Yes. This is why free cruises is a bit deceptive description.
  21. If statistical you "cycle" lots of money/spend much time in the casino statistical you are bound to lose.
  22. Found! 2011! https://www.travelagewest.com/Travel/Cruise/RCI-Revamps-Loyalty-Program when they switched from number of cruises to number of nights. I lost 7 nights back then because Royal counted all cruises up to 12 nights as 1 credit (7 points). I had 9 and 10 nighters which became 7 points (people who had many 3-4 nighters got more points. as they also were converted as 1 credit (7 points). I think you were Platinum 21 years ago. 🙂
  23. I thought Emerald was introduced during the last 10 years? Maybe Platinum or Diamond?
  24. Welcome Aboard on most cruise ships is just 1 show. At lease on Anthem, Enchantment, Oasis, Adventure, Liberty it was a case during this and last year. Although I think it was later. Other shows align with dinner times.
