  1. We had full day tour with Royal and it was amazing. We actually could use more time! Nice expositions, 3d movies. Very exciting.
  2. Sometimes when this happens I log off and log back in.
  3. You can use 4 complementary drinks during the day, but Happy Hour in terms of drinks is only in Suite Lounge.
  4. We had French onion soup in crock in May. Maybe it’s a problem on particular ship? We usually are on 3-4 ships every year and things may vary.
  5. I am cruising 5 times (6-14 days) a year, last several years all with RCI. Last times menus changed was 7-8 years ago. I knew every day by heart. Now there is some variation. When you say minority what is your sample size? The only clear downside is lobsters, but it is more connected to deficits/prices for this commodity. Lobsters are more expensive even where we live on average, and with huge losses RCI experienced over 2020 - 2022 they cannot afford to keep this item unlimited. Yes, maybe they have a bit more time to clean each room and do each procedure better, but rooms are cleaned better in our experience.
  6. Yes... at 12:01 ET (is this based on port of departure?) Last week I missed it for the first time since it started after pandemic... lost 30 minutes of boarding time. 🙂
  7. $1.99 seems really low ... We live in New England and I do not remember such prices. Fresh? Not frozen?
  8. If you do not you lose them, but you do have some time after midnight. They "die" at 5 AM next day and next 4 vouchers start.
  9. 1 less but better in quality cleaning. More freedom for us in the evening. I like new menus. Should they always stay the same? I cruise since 2003 and menus change. Classic menu was not always a part of menus and that was fine. 🙂
  10. Wait a second, so you are sailing in suites? Suites get service twice a day. Other changes do not apply to suites too
  11. I was never loyal to Royal, so I watched 8 lines for several decades to realize nothing is perfect. Even though we sail almost exclusively with RCI now due to many advantages. (variety of ships and itineraries they do not far from us) , they all have cuts. Many have similar cuts. Not because they suddenly became greedy.
  12. They lost $21 billion, so we are talking about getting some losses back. They are private businesses, and for the most part foreign businesses so they don’t get assistance from government for their losses.
  13. Honestly after cruising from restart after pandemic and knowing what is going on in the world I’m honestly amazed RCI survived and provides experience it does. If you love cruising you would too. Cuts are minor in comparison. If they diminish your experience that much imagine you have no cruising at all. RCCL lost about $21 billions. They continued losing money up to the fourth quarter of 2022. Changes are not done to make you unhappy. Somehow people notice inflation and other issues on land, but cruise lines in their mind exist in different universe and must adjust so you won’t notice. I prefer to have cruses with minor cuts, but multiple and affordable. By the way while cruising was not available we (being hungry for real vacations, not camping or Myrtle beach) had several vacations in all inclusive resorts. Nice ones. If you think there are no changes there … you would be in for surprise.
  14. I thought I’d miss it too, but I didn’t. I hope you didn’t book cruise because of two services per day. We cruised about 8-9 times in last 18 months and haven’t noticed any downgrades with 1 service a day.
  15. I don’t know … things change. Everything cannot stay the same as it was 20-30-40 years ago. Some things went away, but some arrived. I love nostalgia … but cruising is much more available now than it was in 80-es. Ships offer much more. Much more than is lost. Remember … that even though much more was included, but much more exists on ships and is still available. Additional dining? You aren’t required to use it, but your vacation is cheaper if cruise lines get additional profit from it. I’m not bothered at all by the fact that other people use it. It’s their priorities. Chocolate on pillow … nice touch, but in some reason I don’t miss it one but. So much food is available on every ship. I think HAL still does it, but I won’t switch because of that. Tons of free things and activities are on ships. Just because lines introduce something per fee is ok in my book. I’d rather sail 5 times a year without mortgaging my house than have everything included for high price. I’d pick what I need from everything offered
  16. Drinks under $14 (now 15?) are included. Others I think you can pay a difference.
  17. We collect them in our albums among other "artifacts". It is about a year and a half we got D+. Pin was placed in our room, previous pins were also always placed.
  18. I am not sure kids situation can be compared to cruiselines... even more particular cruiseline. If I suspected that business was lying to me as in some accusations I would just drop this business all together and use another. I am not married to business... and especially it is not my child. With kids who I cannot just drop I would try to change things.
  19. I am a Cruise Groupie. 🙂 I live here on and off for 20 years!!!
  20. Well.. Infinite veranda is controversial. Some like it, some don't As for your second concern .. which ships deck are you looking at. It is the same issue for some decks on RCI. Especially on Quantum class.
  21. There is a difference between not 100% satisfaction and accusation in lies. OP did not say he/she was upset over H&H. Statement was about shiny Lie!
