    Hi Cliff have always put my eggs in one Basket apart from a few Carnival U.S, cruises, you are going on a very large ship but my self work with all cruise ships in Southampton and found that people love Iona and Arvia as big as they are. enjoy your cruise mate and tell us all about it when you return to U.K.

    I do believe if you book triangle and your ship is at the Mayflower you have to find a taxi and a taxi back.

    Have been on Discovery twice joining again with family in March 2023, have joined Marella facebook group, and hearing during refurb Marella have taken out the settee,s the fridge,s and the wardrobe doors, a little bit harsh, our other cruises on Discovery in the Caribbean pre covid have be wonderful and the crew very attentive , are standards slipping with Marella or is it me.

    I remember being booked on Destiny with family for Eastern Med, had a email from Thomson, sorry Destiny is going back to owner,s, you can now be transferred to new ship Majesty.

    I hope not doing my third cruise on Discovery in March, but who knows, is she still owned by RCI and TUI, perhaps another in the pipe line besides Voyager.

    T.B.H this happened when Discovery joined the fleet maybe 2017 USA was showing with the U.S Virgin islands and San Juan, i had this cruise booked then U.S Islands were cancelled and others were added, anyone remember that year.

    Hi Roger I do hope you are well, i know you would always have a J/S on DISCOVERY but reading a TUI Article all the baths are coming out and now they are having walk in Showers, also the cabin we are having are doing away with those plastic curtains and putting on glass doors so it looks like good refit.

    New ship MSC Euribia to homeport Southampton for winter 2023-24 will be run on L.N.G.

    just read Doncaster airport is winding down from the 1st of October with the loss of 800 jobs.

    I think you are right Dave ( i.e) Iona with LNG. and MSC with shore power, Marella are years behind, so there is nothing for next year out of Southampton, say that i have a cruise booked for March 2023, for the U.S. Virgin islands so lets wait and see.

    Have just read the Dream has be beached in Alianga Turkey, for distmantling, had so many cruises on her , before the arrival of the ex R.C.I. ships lovely traditional cruise ship.

    Like you said Roger, have only done Caribbean with Marella, on the newer ships and have given the B.R.stewards, and bar staff that little extra all in Dollars, and they are always grateful like you said.

    Hi have have had Deluxe cabins on Discovery, both stern balconies and have found them to be adequate with two sun beds two chairs and a table, loads of room, deck six are add on balconies witch were added on during a major refit before Marella took over from RCI,
