Call it cruise fare, call it gratuities, call it a service fee, call is blorkmukkifuz. You are taking a cruise and you are paying for your cruise. Names don't matter.Don't mess with the blorkmukkifuz! That is my favourite part of cruising.

Lucky for you.
The carne assada on Mexican night was simply horrible. Dry and chewy.
Rither the chefs are incompetent or a terrible beef selectionTonight is Italian menu and the appetizer selections leave a lot to be desired. Wonder if I can bring an antipasto from the WJ to the MDR.
Presently sailing on Anthem.
Carne asada is a meat bbq. Here in Mexico we start a grill and grill meat. Starting with sausage, then vegetables then to various cuts of meat until you explode. Saw a picture of it and just looked like some steak.

We stayed in Orlando, the resort escapes me now, then took a private shuttle to the port. We did this there and on the return.

I use zip ties and have a pair of electrical side cutters on the side pocket of my checked bag to cut them off when I get to my destination. Never had an issue. In fact, in Mexico, they put tie wraps on your luggage if it is not locked.

They had chips on Allure back in January, even gave me an extra bag without asking.

Have a digestive after your meal like a port, tequila or brandy to aid in digestion. My last drink of the night is always a Guinness and I have no issues the next day.

If you get assigned early enough you can change it for another of the same category.

People who want the ban enforced should be prepared to call guest services to report violations.
Been down that road and it was a dead end.

Perhaps you should ask if the ban of smoking on balconies is enforced.

Check to see where the venue for Chef's table is on the Explorer. I know on the Adventure and Voyager, it was set up on the staircase between deck 4 and 5 in the dining room. Not in a separate room like on the Serenade. I think on the Navigator they had it in a section of the Windjammer. Had a few curious patrons wander over to see where we got the lobster salad. LOL

You can fit a lot more in the bag by tightly rolling your clothes first.
There was another thread with people sharing their hacks to get as much dirty clothes into the bag. Now that they have changed to paper from plastic, it is a bit more challenging to pack it without ripping the bag. My hack for this is to bring packing or duct tape to repair any unintentional rips in the paper bag.

We received a wash and fold bag on a 5 night a couple of weeks back on the Allure.

Today, no. But you will need to upload vaccination documentation to the airline. Maybe show proof at check in. That is of course only if you are not a US citizen.

The real thing is really hard to define. Saying, “Mexican Food” is like saying “American Food”, a lot depends on the region of the country be it MX or US.
Exactly. I've been living near Monterrey Mexico for 5 years and traveled for business throughout Mexico. The food is regionally and so diverse. Here in the north we eat meat. Beef and goat are the go to proteins. It is totally different than texmex and for my taste, a lot better. Tacos are soft shelled wheat or corn (yellow and white) and the salsas are plentiful with bold flavours. There are items here that I have never seen on any Mexican restaurant in the US or Canada. Also, I made texmex queso (Velveeta type cheese mixed with tomatoes) for my Mexican friends and they never had it before.

Had them on the Allure 2 weeks ago. Gave me 3 bags taking my word I was bringing them to 2 other guests.

When you went to Guest Services, did they offer a reason for the noise? If not, it makes me wonder if it might have been the crew cleaning the spa/hot tub. But, as much as the cruise industry doesn't enforce their own rules, yes it probably was guests using the spa.
They just mentioned that the tub is supposed to be closed but people are people and don't necessarily follow the rules. Who would have thunk? 🙄 Didn't mention if it could have been maintenance work. However she did start by telling us that if it happened again to call guest services. My wife asked them "So if I get woken up again you want me to call you?" The rep thought about what she said and decided to move us.

😀 you would cause massive upset if you tried to say that England had any hand in Scotlands nation dish haggis.
It would be like me saying mac n cheese or the hot dog for example was given to you by the Canadians.
We don't have mac and cheese. We have Kraft Dinner. 😁

We can't speak to the worst cabin on the Oasis, however last week on the Allure, we had one of the worst cabins on that ship. Cabin 14562 right below the hot tub. DW is a light sleeper and when the pump goes off it is like a the USS Enterprise going to warp factor 3. The tub is supposed to be closed after 7pm, someone still managed to use it at 3 am. We did go to guest services and moved to a quieter room.

$16.99. Serving cold water Maine lobster tails now.
From the RCL blog I heard that Royal is required to purchase lobsters from an MSC (Marine Stewardship council) member. So the lobsters are actually Canadian lobsters.
Old Crown and Anchor points missing
in Royal Caribbean International
Posted
Before 2010 Crown and Anchor had the old point system where you earned a cruise point for sailings under 10 days and 2 points for anything over 10. They would have calculated through some magical formulae all those cruises to match the new format where you earn a cruise point per night of sailing.
