  1. The dining room was bustling at lunch time, and even as we came out at 1, there was still a queue. Pat’s tomato bisque, my calamari, and a very nice cheesecake.
  2. Our letter told us to be in the World Stage at 9:30. There were people showing up at 10:30. We decided they had forgotten to change their clocks. Then we were told that all the disembarking passengers needed to be off before us. Finally we went about 11. Just a walk into the terminal, look at the CBP facial recognition machine, then another wait for a passenger who got lost on the way. Evidently she thought it was all over as we left the WS and went back to her room(!). Finally, we’re back on board and all the water-tight doors are closed as the rooms are not ready for the embarking passengers. We forced our way into our room, and I think we will go to lunch in the MDR at noon. PS. Still the old menus. I’m hoping things get changed up for this “special” TA. I think we had the same menus on Koningsdam in January.
  3. I don’t know. I think we had the breakfast menu on the bed last night. I will check when we are allowed back into our room. Still 17 people to disembark before they deal with us In-Transits.
  4. We are still waiting for 3 people to show up in the World Stage. Hope they’re not in the hot tub!
  5. We are waiting in the World Stage with the rest of those who are not planning to go ashore for the day. We were told there was a blown fuse and small fire when they were attaching the gangways, now there is just one gangway, and so everything is going to be delayed , we must just be patient.
  6. Things may be late today. Evidently when they were setting up the gangways, one blew a fuse and there was a small fire, no damage, but now there is just one gangway, for coming and going. We have 257 staying on board. We have requested-a-wave from the PTZ webcam, we’ll probably be 10 or 11on our verandah with a Canadian flag, a long verandah over the first/second lifeboats. Please take pictures! I’ll come back and check later, I can’t get the webcam to work on my phone. Thanks.
  7. The others went to Tamarind early yesterday, but we went to Mass, which was SRO, and then we went to CO for dinner, just the two of us. We went to the shops to buy some Pringles for sailaway. Boy, they don’t give them away! I went past the Music Walk, the Rolling Stone was very popular . More SRO, I guess people move from one room to the other as the shows start. Today, most passengers are disembarking, we have to go to the World Stage to be cleared, go ashore for a bit, and then come back on board. We will be 10 or 11 for sailaway, and I am finding I cannot get the webcam to work on my phone on board, so I hope someone will be taking pictures. Tonight will be Pinnacle for dinner. Rolling Stone Rock Room last night., and crispy sweet and sour shrimp for dinner. Today’s Daily Program And here we are!
  8. Thanks, I’d be in trouble with my youngest-I didn’t straighten the horizons before posting them!
  9. I’ve been trying to get the webcam here on board the Rotterdam , so I can figure out if I can watch our sailaway tomorrow, but I keep getting an error message. Do you think it’s my phone, or maybe the ship’s internet , as I see everyone else is getting a picture?
  10. We did eventually get ashore. It was easy for 5 stars and CO, we were ushered through right away. We didn’t stay long, just a bit of a wander, it was quite warm. Then we came back to the ship on an almost empty ferry. We went up to the Lido for lunch, I had a very tasty chicken taco and a slice of berry pie. The only bird I saw - I didn’t find the chickens.
  11. I’m not sure. As soon as we got to deck 1 we were ushered to a ferry. Never got to the lounge…. (Our plan was to go to the Half Moon Lounge)
  12. The medical boat is approaching, and the ferries are waiting. Captain says he hopes it won’t be long now. (11 am)
  13. Good morning, Dailyites, thanks for all the news this morning. We are still waiting to hear if we will get to go ashore on HMC. If we are not cleared by the Bahamian medical people, I guess it will be another day at sea. They must not be altogether sure what the passenger died of last night. And then I wonder what will happen tomorrow in Fort Lauderdale.
  14. And they have now cancelled all shore excursions. IF we get to go ashore, it will just be for a short visit, I’m afraid. (10am)
  15. We are on Rotterdam, and today is Half Moon Cay. We got this letter in our stateroom last night. sorry , just noticed the letter was for stars, here is the CO note:
  16. Another announcement from Captain Timmers, he said we are still awaiting clearance. A medical team is coming from the nearest island (Eleuthera), I guess to ascertain the cause of death. It will be a while.
  17. Captain just came on the speaker. We had a medical emergency last night and unfortunately the patient died. Now we have not been cleared by the Bahamas to go ashore and we are working on that. “Please stay away from the gangway”. It’s 10 to 8. Some people must be in a hurry. We haven’t had breakfast yet.
  18. We’re at Half Moon Cay now. It looks calm. We’ll go ashore later. We didn’t make it to the Orange Party last night. Maybe next time! today’s Daily Program
  19. Pat had the Club Orange special. It was the veal chop with mushroom risotto. It was huge, but delicious. I just had a taste.
  20. No sign of the Lincoln Center group, I’m sad about that. I’m wondering if they will bring on more musicians for the TA. The menu for tonight looks interesting. I don’t know what the CO special will be.
  21. Oops! Forgot to post the Daily Program. Tonight is Festive Orange. I will wear my orange beads. Strange, I did move my pictures around so they would be upright. Anyway, you get the idea
