Thanks so much for your reply. I did read somewhere that it is less expensive to get from LaGuardia to NYC than from the other airports. That being said, airfare is a major consideration.

We will be sailing from NYC on Carnival Venezia. Flying 1 day ahead & staying at Riu Times Square (145 West 47th St.) Need advice on the preferred airport to fly in & out of. We will not be staying in NY post cruise. Additionally, best way to get to hotel from airport & return to airport after we dock. We pack light, no mobility issues, but we are senior citizens. Thanks in advance, -arleen

We're doing a B2B2B starting on Feb 2-March 3. Diamond on RCI and Carnival. Loyal to the best itinerary, price, and personal timing for us. Eight cruises in the last 13 months including a 21 day B2B on Anthem and a 21 day B2B on Carnival Legend. IMHO they all have their plusses and minuses especially since the Restart. That being said, I have the most fun on Carnival. BTW, I'm 70+. -arleen

John Heald posted this yesterday: I’ll be talking a lot more about Costa Venezia in the coming days and weeks as we get ready to bring you Carnival Fun, Italian style. -

I believe in his video, Heald said he wasn't sure if they would keep it. -
How many sailings are missing?

I'm Diamond also, still had to wait forever!

We saved &450. on our 12 day Vision from Baltimore and & $17. on a 4 day Allure. Hopefully the Allure January 2024, will drop some more .

Just got off the phone. FINALLY! I saved $467.00 between 2 cruises. Worth the wait, yes, but still frustrating.
-
While all of my wait time has been on my land line, I decided to use my cell as well. I called the same # on each device 1-866-562-7625. On my land line , I get the constant advertising messages telling me how great their ships & ports are. On my cell, I get the All reps are busy because our sale is so GREAT! They also say the wait time is: 2 hours & 47 minutes! That's EXACTLY the same time they told me yesterday! BOGUS!
-
I'll try the screenshot. BTW, at this point, I don't care if RCI is losing $. I just know that if I don't get through, I'm losing $400+

I'm in the same boat! Yesterday 6+ hours & so far today 1 hour & 52 minutes. I've emailed them twice yesterday from their "contact us" page. All I got was an automated response. We are trying to price adjust as our sailing has been reduced by $400.00 +. Advice? Should we put a "Hold" at the new price, (we have a guarantee interior) & hope that we hear from them? So frustrated! Why promote a sale if you don't have the reps to service the customers!?

Sunshower, did you get any type of compensation from your cancelled cruise?
-
Sorry, but I'm skeptical. I've been on 28 Carnival cruises so far & have never come across this situation. The sailings are 14+ months away, they aren't during peak holidays and Mardi Gras, & at least 1 other ship is in P.C. Mardi Gras is not Sold Out.

Any one recieve word from Carnival, Heald, or their PVP?

I don't spend my time checking out other pax wardrobe. I doubt if anyone notices the difference between my black capris or my navy one's, unless it affects how they will enjoy their cruise. Carnival does my laundry every 2-3 days & delicates get hand washed. We never wear our daytime clothes at dinner either. FYI, I'm under 5' tall & less than 100 pounds so my clothes are fairly small. In the 57 cruises we've been on, I don't remember what anyone wore. My Motto, "Look Decent, Don't Smell"!
