  1. We were there in September. Let me know specifically what info you're looking for and I'll try to help. We enjoyed our day at Blue Lagoon!
  2. Agreed!!!! I'll be using this method as well. Agreed again!!!!
  3. Yes it was - But I expect nothing else from CCL......😔 Thank you for the info!!
  4. So they are no longer accepting e-mail submissions/requests, only app requests? Just confirming so I'll know what to do for future cruises. Thx!!
  5. Are the shows on Jubilee all new shows?
  6. Finally - new shows!!! At least they'll be new to us. Thanks for posting!!

    Vanilla?

You can also order from their website - they ship to the US.
  8. Man, I hate to hear that Monterey is no longer a port of call. We really enjoyed our visit there a few years back. We rented a car and did the Highway 1 drive - absolutely amazing!
  9. Excellent advice here - Definitely be there when the zoo opens and do the bus tour first since the lines get really long as the day progresses. It's just to the right after you enter. That way you can get an overview of what you want to go back and see. And sit on the top deck. Use the Skyfari for a quick way to get from the east side to the west side if the lines aren't too long. At least ride it once - really fun! If you want to see everything, I'd plan to stay all day. It's HUGE!!! You can also bring in your own food/drink to save some $$. As for getting there, we took the local bus from the port area the last time we were there. Then caught the bus back at the end of the day. The SD Zoo is one of may happy places!! Download the SD Zoo park map here ahead of time and take it with you. Their website indicates that they may no longer provide paper copies at the park: https://zoo.sandiegozoo.org/sites/default/files/2021-10/10-01-21_ZOO-Map-Front.pdf Midway is definitely another good outing, although I wouldn't recommend doing both in one day. Way to much to take in at both attractions. You'd be rushed. Good luck!
  10. The guy came around and said we are closing at 3PM and the staff were putting up chairs, etc.
  11. Went to NC last Thursday. We enjoyed our day there, mainly because it wasn't crowded and it was very quiet. We don't care for the loud party atmosphere, so this suited us just fine. We arrived early and had a palapa on the beach. The palapas never did fill up with people either, despite there being 7 ships in port that day. The beach was also clean and the water was great. I don't care to drink, so all of my beverages were alcohol free - strawberry daiquiris and pina coladas. Tasty enough but not outstanding. I asked for a mango daiquiri, but he said they don't make those w/o alcohol (?). Waiter seemed annoyed that I didn't want alcohol. I would think they'd be glad since it's cheaper for them to make it that way. Husband had a couple of beers, a couple of daiquiris, and bottled water. When we first arrived our waiter came by often, but his stops grew farther apart after noon. It was annoying that they didn’t have a drink menu to look at. I heard another lady say the same. Lunch was good - not stellar, but we enjoyed it. I did enjoy the fried shrimp. Don't bother getting the custard dessert - get the cheesecake instead. Husband had the grouper, which wasn't bad. Guac was freshly made. Tortilla soup was very good. Didn't get in the pool or hot tub, but they both looked super clean. Restrooms were clean as well. Was disappointed that they close at 3PM – had planned to stay a little longer since our ship didn’t leave until 5:30 PM. I hadn’t planned on purchasing a picture, but we liked it enough so we did. I nice little souvenir. Cab fare was $20 getting there for just the 2 of us. Coming back there were 6 of us in a van. Driver still charged us $20/couple. I'm pretty sure we got scammed, but we were all just ready to get back on the ship by the time we got back to the terminal and didn't want to argue w/him about it. (I wish I had taken a pic of the cab fare board before we left the terminal to go to NC.) Plus there was a cab next to us that contained a girl who had clearly been to another AI and had way too much to drink - the evidence was all over the side of that cab. She was completely passed out, and they were trying to get her out. Once I saw that I was just ready to pay and go!
  12. Just left Harmony yesterday - enjoyed sailing with Captain James once again! Had rough seas most every night to the point that the aqua show couldn't be performed with the divers throughout the entire cruise, so I'm sure he's ready for smoother seas this week. Fortunately we had already seen the show before, but I felt bad for those who missed how amazing it is.

    Vanilla?

Well said! I've converted several friends and family members to Los Cinco Soles vanilla. My SIL just ordered several bottles from their website for my nephew who has a food truck. She said it's the only one he'll use now.
  14. COVID happened. Cruising will never be what it was prior to the pandemic. Just have to be thankful that it's back! And along with Merion_Mom, I also went "eeeewwwww!" Oh my! 🤢
  15. Nothing wrong with booking a GTY cabin as long as you receive a cabin assignment at some point, preferably prior to leaving home, correct? We booked a GTY for our December cruise and have a cabin assignment. Have done the same for several other cruises.
  16. I've also noticed that the app no longer asks me to add a photo for our boarding info - is that correct? Hope I didn't miss something in the process.
  17. Could someone refresh my memory? What times will rooms be ready? We have an early boarding time of 11AM. If it's not until much later, we plan to check all bags rather than drag them around. We are used to early drop-off on CCL, but we are only Emerald on RCCL - not sure if that matters?? Any info is appreciated, as I've slept since our last RCCL cruise. 😴
  18. I don't think so. We were right by a speaker and couldn't hear what was being said. And the boat was not moving fast at all.
  19. We were there in September and the experience was similar for us. The sound system on the boat was poor at best. We couldn't understand any of the "who lives in which house" tour info, much less the safety info. And on the return trip, the only thing heard over the speakers was the EXTREMELY LOUD - and I mean LOUD - music. Our only complaint of the day really. Everyone was so tired - that was the last thing anyone wanted to hear. A shame this happened. We really enjoyed our day at Blue Lagoon. The beach and water were both great, as well as our dolphin encounter portion. Prayers for the family of the deceased lady. Just horrible.
  20. We love PB! Haven't been since the restart since we always did PAYG. A shame people have to insist on the cab drivers to take you there now if you don't have an AI reservation. Thanks to the OP for this PB experience update. It really is a great place for a beach day with great food!
  21. Personally we apprciate there being no pool in the solarium area. A pool and its occupants would only produce more noise. At least that's been our observation on other ships/lines.
  22. So what does the "rotation" beside those names mean?
  23. I see this thread has taken a turn, however, I just finished adding our gratuities to our upcoming RCCL cruise. Hold time was 25 minutes. They REALLY need to make this doable via the cruise reservation page! 😡 Anyway, will I receive a receipt via e-mail reflecting our gratuities payment? Update: just received the receipt. Sorry - the call dropped before I could ask the rep about the receipt.
