  1. Have been cruising for many years, several different lines, but 90% on RCI. We always put our bags out the night before. Simply keep out a set of clothes we will wear in the morning. We set the bags out just before we go to bed... wearing our robes when we do it. 😉 Easy peasy.
  2. I think that was extremely generous, since you already had prepaid grats on top of that.
  3. Thanks, good to know, but still happy I moved out of that end cabin. I tried to move further down the hallway on deck 8, away from that outside door, but they were all booked.
  4. Our agent on the phone booked us into 8001. I did not check the reviews until later. Google that cabin number. What I found were complaints about the large fire door right next to your cabin door slamming when pax went through it, pretty much shaking everything in your cabin. Also, when pax are on the outside stairwell, they can see right into your balcony. I called back and had her move us down to deck 7.
  5. Yup, I have been in Florida since 1981, Bucky came down from "the northlands" before me in 1978. Now being retired...we travel more than we are home. There is no perfect crime free place anywhere in the world....errr...I guess Antarctica may be close. 😉 Hey...we are going there as well in couple of months. 😄
  6. And of course the casino players never lose either. 😄
  7. Ahh...we will just miss you. Coming off Viking 3 week river cruise in Europe at that time. Just enough time to do our laundry. 😉 Enjoy your cruise on Wonder...we did. 🙂
  8. When in October? We are on B2B end of Oct. and into first week of Nov. Same cabin we did last year, at the same time.... for 4 weeks. 🙂 Perhaps we will "sea" you there!
  9. "Sea" you on board. 🙂 We are also on board prior, out of Milwaukee. B2B for us. Luckily same cabin, no moving. 😉
  10. Awww...Ellen, don't you love me anymore? 😉 😄 No worries anyway...no interest in cruising on Utopia. Too big...too short a time for us.
  11. I don't see any reason at all to book it for myself anyway. Massive theme park at sea, short cruise with lots of party types. No interest at all for this Pinnie.
  12. Beautiful area! We adore "downeast" Maine, which is everything north of Bar Harbor. Have just arrived into Maritime Canada for the next month. Nice to be able to visit up here since Covid restrictions lifted. 🙂
  13. Yup, PC being 20 minutes away from my house....yeah, kind of a nice draw for us. 😄
  14. That's funny....I live there. And yet I am still alive and kicking. Go figure! 😉
  15. oops...sorry. Got my ships mixed up...my bad. 😞
  16. Behind closed doors??? I am not sure you were actually at the SL bar? There is nothing closed about it.
  17. OMG....I feel so humble! Thanks my friend! And your bro loves it too... and well...what is not to like? 😉
  18. I just had the same issue to deal with this morning on having to cancel a second leg of our cruise, to redo to add as prior leg for B2B. It was a simple fix with a call to Viking, who called it a "revision"....with transferring deposit from cancelled cruise to new one. Easy peasy. Way easier than the nightmare I had with American Queen voyages (of whom I will never book again).
  19. After being burned by a TA, several times many years ago....I finally took over all bookings for our travel plans, which I enjoy. She got lazy, with the booking the easy stuff of the international travel plans he needed for his career. When I tried to use her for our personal travel, she was awful and also unresponsive. (Must have been too complicated for her). So I then started booking all his business travel myself, with really good results. Enjoyed it so much, I started doing all our personal travel. It is so much fun to do so, and I am in control, which is important to me.
  20. Books are extremely limited in the so called libraries now...for two reasons. 1. Kindles 2. Pax taking them to use as Chair Hog "props". Won't be long, IMHO, and there will not be a library on a ship any longer. Some library spaces even being used as an office for the LA. Like that gives a quiet atmosphere!
  21. OMG Dave. Sooo funny, you went with the term I call you all the time to be your avatar....I love it!! 😄
  22. Indeed it will. You will get 2 points a night, which will give you 14 points for your cruise, as a total of 86 points. Those points and that Diamond level will be awarded about 5-7 days after the completion of your cruise. That makes your next cruise after that, as full Diamonds. Congrats.
