  1. Now that pax are getting used to the missing items that were "Covid related deletes"....RCI has figured, "out of sight, out of mind" and is enjoying the cost cutting that went with it. 😉 Bye bye ship hosted Meet and Mingle. I doubt "meal with an officer" will come back either, and will remain "Cheers with an officer".
  2. The only thing I did not like was the plastic wine glasses. 😞 Which did not make much sense since the beer was served in the bottle....a glass bottle.
  3. We were also JS on deck 10. It was very obvious the carpet was actually a totally different shade/color when you looked under the bed (less wear and traffic).
  4. Currently on Jewel right now. This is our last day of our B2B, and are docked up in PC right now waiting to disembark. Will be back on board again for another B2B in 5 weeks. Basically enjoyed our cruise, but preferred the food and service on Serenade B2B out of Tampa last month. Plus this ship is showing it's age. Carpet needs replaced in cabins and common areas. Was first experience for the new MDR menus, as they launched the new program during this six night of our 2nd leg. Interesting with hits and misses, but fun to try new things.
  5. Yes, head left as you walk in. But the bar is drink orders only, no bar stools. We have ordered wine and beer to have with lunch inside or bring outside.
  6. None that I know of....but indeed do cancel in advance....don't just not show up, as that could cause a problem and fee.
  7. We used to be able to do it years ago. When they changed the website, it was one of the casualties. Key terms: "New...Enhanced...Improved"....code words for cost cutting. 😉
  8. Simple selective hearing for husbands. 😄 😄
  9. Indeed tough to go hungry on a cruise ship with the usual over abundance of food. 😉
  10. Yup, I read the app menu to Bucky early each day....naturally I have to keep it to just that night, as you know your bro......he forgets from one day to the next. 😄 😄
  11. LOL....you are way too funny! Love...love the new one today! 😄
  12. Royal UP is a marketing gimic. They will send you invitations for Royal Up (as they did for us on our current Jewel cruise) even if they are overbooked...which they were on this cruise. And there are no such things as half empty sailings now.
  13. That definitely helps. The earlier time frame is the most desired.
  14. OMG....sorry, but I can't seem to read your post....I am too distracted by your new Avatar. 😄 🤣
  15. Oh no....but how can you say that....both Ellen and I are sooooo cute, you just can't help but adore us!!!! 😄 😄
  16. LOL......sorry, I love being able to drive to the port in 20 minutes. 😄
  17. Ships are sailing full now...will be tougher to get reservations in CK. Not to mention number of seats. If the suites are full of families...more seats per suite adds to that. When we sail on a ship that has a CK...we book a full suite to be sure we will not be excluded.
  18. Another vote for pick for port and itinerary. Yes, Harmony is newer, though I like the layout of CK/SL better on Allure, plus would love to see Momma Mia show which is on Allure. Otherwise, they are both Oasis class ships...not that much different.
  19. Thanks! It's been hit and miss...but happily plenty of hits for me. Mostly the salads. I am trying to make myself try things I might never try. As a few that I can remember.....the Smoked Salmon salad was excellent (could make a meal out of that). The Buttermilk Calamari was terrible. The Vegan Butternut soup was good, but too salty. The Vegan Maple Soy Tofu and Avocado salad...also delicious! Had the Indian dish last night for dinner, Rustic Chicken Korma...wonderful! Once again...all according to personal taste. 😉
  20. Unfortunately I am unable to post pictures. 😞
  21. It's actually one year plus 10 day old thread. 😉 To answer your question...we pack for a 7-10 day cruise and just do hand wash, "boil and fry" (AKA wash and fold) and occasional dry cleaning. No big deal. Have World Cruise coming up. Still have no worries. 🙂
  22. Interesting it was not the Bahamian officials that got involved, having the whole thing happen in their waters. Though if it is the USCG...they will return them to Cuba as is their policy.
  23. They were not in US waters, and "wet foot/dry foot" went away in 2017.
  24. But Liberty did not go back to the states. It's next stop was here in Nassau.
