  1. Thanks! It was...and always one of our favorite "self tours"...have loved our "follow our nose" tours as the best. And once again, this one was great. This is a beautiful port...would love to come back again. Lovely people.
  2. My cracked egg contraption was over on the side there somewhere...me: failure. 😥
  3. Aww...thanks my friend! I am trying my best. All my best to you and Pauline. 🙂
  4. Funny thing is all the restaurants here feature Stella...all of them. For some reason it is their beer of choice. If you ask for a large Stella...they bring you this huge bottle (quart size) of it. 😮
  5. OMG...wish you were here too! Good to hear from you! Miss you! And you know you are a bro as well. 😉
  6. It was "formal night". He forgot to bring his formal flip flops. 😄
  7. Chicken with cream of Leek and potato dumplings...Bucky's pizza. He had two large Stella beers, I had a really nice full bottle of Estate Argentine Sauv. Blanc, several apps.....a 2 hour gastro experience. Total bill...40 bucks US. Wow... I think she flipped out at the cash tip we gave her. Oh yeah, we are coming back here!!! 😉 😄
  8. OK...so the reason they set up the tables on the open air beach area with the plates upside down .....is due to the sand blowing in all the time...even with the glass panels. Had to keep brushing the sand off my lap, and off my place mat. But no worries...never had to crunch any during our lunch. 😄
  9. Sooo.. time for lunch. And this one is for you Dave. Your bro giving you a toast and wishing you were here. 😄
  10. Interesting sculpture of along the way. Don Quijote of La Mancha Novel by Miguel de Cervantes
  11. Bucky on the beach...he is a beach person....errr...more like a sun lizard. He was able to get his feet in the sand. 😄
  12. OK...so since we did not do one of the pre planned tours. We did our most favorite tour of "follow our nose". Always a favorite. 😉 Walked down to the end of the pier.....hung a left and were thrilled to find a beach boardwalk all the way to the other end. Which I think was somewhere around 3-4 miles one way. Bought some cute Penguin magnets and continued on . Cute park that they carve art work from the trees that die.
  13. LOL...really don't care what plan we end up with. I am of the "It is what it is" type of person. 😄
  14. Hot off the press...new itinerary. Works for me. Hopefully Mother Nature will be kind enough to let us retry the Falklands...but never a guarantee.
  15. If that is what you want to do. Choice of small shuttle van to take for those that don't want to ....or have difficulty walking to end of pier.
  16. Lots of tour buses lined up on the pier. Lots of tours going out early. Choice of tour bus, or simply walking along the pier on the left side. Many opting to do that, and will be us shortly. Looking forward to a long walk on the beach and some exploring the seaside town. Maybe a nice Argentine lunch as well. 🙂
  17. Welcome to Puerto Madryn! Finally a port that we can walk on the pier, and no commercial container freight yard next to us!! 🤗 So funny...the dock workers are really cranking it up on the party music right now...go for it guys!! 😉 We plan on just "winging it" today. Walk into town to play tourist, do some shopping, find a nice restaurant and just enjoy. Though I am pulling on some warmer clothes...and loving it! 58 degrees in town right now, eventually going up to lower 70s today...beautiful sunny weather! 🙂
  18. Saw the weather report for Falklands yesterday morning with the 40 mile an hour winds...yikes. I told Bucky "No way we are tendering in Falklands". Yup, captain came on around 5 pm to tell us we would no make it, but is changing the itinerary to hopefully swing back and try it again. Last night Bucky was touching the sun...and did not get burned!! 😄
  19. Thanks, and you are welcome. Sometimes a bit confusing when someone is talking to Pat...since now we have two of us reporting. 😉 Mmm..OK...call me Patricia..that might work. 😄
