  1. That is where Bucky is right now, doing his usual afternoon reading on that back upper deck. Me, I stay out of the sun, and am happy with my feet up reading a book in the cabin. 🙂
  2. Cabin attendant just came by to give us this special card stock menu for Xmas Eve. dinner tonight. It's formal night tonight. Thinking of trying the Beef Wellington...though I usually love Turkey for Xmas Eve. dinner. 🙂 I think most will go for the Ham.
  3. LOL...oh yeah there is...but Bucky definitely not able to fix me. 😄 After going through a broken back, and breaking both feet (left foot on Brilliance first night of a 7 night cruise) he couldn't fix that either. 😲 🤭
  4. Will be back on Radiance next year...can't remember if it worked there either. I think it is probably very annoying to the bartender there...since they have to wait for it to spin enough to climb through the "rabbit hole" on the one end. 😉
  5. Thanks! Have another cruise line booked that does the "blue nose ceremony" when you cross the Arctic circle. I think they do something on this ship as well. And if we are lucky...we cross the Antarctic circle as long as weather permits....so says Captain Stig. 😉
  6. Me too! Good seafood, and some of the best Onion Rings ever! Loved the little tables along the railing outside. Still a couple 4 tops under the cover...but all loungers along the railing now.
  7. We are currently just over 2 degrees north of the equator. Bucky has been south of it...but I have not. Should pass over it tonight. Should I get another earring? Arrrg...me maties! Or is that just a Navy thing? 😉 😄
  8. Indeed...we love taking the stairs...which takes me a bit longer since I also love to check out the art work along the way. 🙂 Cold weather cruising is not new to us, as we have done Alaska many times (and have it booked again). But I think the area of Antarctica will be much colder than the times we did Alaska. We have dragged along a lot of cold weather clothing...so hopefully will keep us warm enough, and can always dash back into the ship for a hot soup 🍵, or better yet...a nice warming adult beverage. 😉 🍷 We have a tour booked to see the Penguins down there. 🐧
  9. Aww...thanks. 😊 Gave me something to do on a sea day.....more fun that getting my laundry done. 😄
  10. And also on deck six...the dedicated Cinema. (Wish more ships had this). Has not really been that busy, but so far this last week has been showing old Xmas movies that we have seen many times before and have elected not to participate. Hopefully something a bit fresher next week.
  11. Moving aft on deck six, another interesting feature...of which I will use my not so great billiard skills later today...the self leveling pool tables.
  12. And here we are down on deck six. I get a kick out of the interesting seating area around Vintages bar. Reminds of Alice in Wonderland for some reason.
  13. And walking over to the other side of deck 13...our favorite place to have later happy hour...the half circle bar in the Concierge Lounge.
  14. Continuing our tour, and our favorite early happy hour spot: The (used to be) revolving bar in the VCL. Did work on Jewel the last time we were on board that ship, but does not work here (of which there seems to be more than one thing that does not work on Serenade 😞 ).
  15. Next stop. The outdoor part of the WJ, just over the aft. One of our favorite places for al fresco lunch. Convenient stop at the bar (former Rita's Cantina) of course for a beer and a wine. 😉
  16. Ok..sea day...again...time to take a walking tour of Serenade of things that are ....,IMHO, favorite and unique to the Radiance class ladies. First stop, and those of you that fondly remember the old "Sea View Cafe" will recognize this, but years ago was transformed into (IMHO) and odd spot for Izumi. We are doing another sushi class here on the 3rd, of which we have done quite a few on various ships, but hope it is better than the lame one we had on Harmony a few years ago. 😮
  17. Woke up to bright sunshine, but seas still rocking and rolling. Just nice to see blue sky again! 🤗 Currently just off shore of the mouth of the Amazon...drats...can't see the Monkeys and Parrots from here. Show last night was good, electric guitar player...one man band (Vegas style) Mario D'Andrea. He was born in Italy, but raised in Australia since he was six. Though quite obvious the Italian in him lives on strong. 😉 He was really good, playing a variety of music and impressions with dabs of comedy. Got the audience going for sure! No pictures again (house lights down) so did not want to disturb neighbors with phone light. Tonight, a tribute to the Beetles band. Should be interesting as well. 🙂 Off to breakfast. Will be taking a tour of unique things we love about the Radiance ladies today.
  18. LOL...was a pretty common on our Wonder TA last year. 😄 Though much more to keep us occupied on the bigger ship. Have to get a bit more creative on this little lady. 😉
  19. Not sure, but I believe a lot of families from Miami are doing the first quarter, coming back home from LA. Last night large family pushed their way into the elevator, all trying to carry multiple plates of food, and one toddler a large smoothie or something. Yeah, he dropped it...splash. Became a lake in the small elevator. What a mess...then of course they all dashed away quick at the next stop.
  20. Yeah, he has an artist talent and especially loves to create. Can fix just about anything as well...me? I have no talent at all, but can whip up some yummies in the kitchen. Sigh...I actually miss cooking. 😮
  21. LOL...would be a bit tough on Stig's ship as well. 😄 😄 Lamb chops anyone?
  22. Ehh...not so bad to miss a port on this long cruise. Feel bad for how many times, recently it seems, the shorter cruises to Coco Cay and even Nassau have been missed. Feel it more then I should think.
  23. Me too. 😮 Though our upcoming ports... are all mainland docked...until we hit the Falklands on Jan. 11th. 🙂
  24. Bucky made a few of these before we left home from old wine corks, and left over scraps... to hand out to crew members. They loved them. 🙂 He also made the "party animal" magnet for our door. 😉
