1. I have long since stopped expecting things to be what I think they would be. Embrace the experience...good or bad. 2. No 3. Ship not crowded in the least, which is nice. 4. See answer #3 5. much older crowd...only a few children. 6. Less pax...more crew members equals better service.

Walked further down to giant Ferris wheel. Moved like a snail, bored customers coming off...we opted not to partake.

Total mob scene with local pax trying to board huge MSC ship. This is a pretty big embarkation port for cruise ships here. Line with luggage to get to drop off must have been 1/4 mile long snaking way down the terminal, curving, and going up the street. Ugh. 😮

Rain held off for us...probably because we were carrying our rain jackets in a back pack. 😉 Walked down to end of pier to the downtown waterfront park area where they were setting up for their party there. Big band shell set up and doing the testing. Museum was closed...drats. Cute harbor ferry pulled up there. Pretty popular here.

Pouring rain now...so will wait a bit now. Want to walk down to visit the museum which is quite popular here and not very far away. Down on the dock, already one ambulance was here as we first pulled up, now a 2nd one loading one pax into it (though we noticed she was sitting up on the gurney and smiling...thank goodness) and then a 3rd ambulance was coming in. Yikes. Hope they are all OK.

Finally a port in Brazil we can walk on the pier and has a decent terminal! No shuttle bus to terminal here. I think the whole ship just departed. The full WC cruisers all had a free tour here with a Brazilian lunch included. Ship to ourselves! 😉 But we are going to just walk around, enjoy the port and really looking forward to the festivities tonight. 🙂

Welcome to Rio! Some random shots as we were pulling into the harbor. MSC just in front of us, Costa coming up behind...Azamara was already here. Ellen, our Chops hostess told me there are going to be eight ships docked up here today!! Wow.

Yup. Bucky worked down here as consultant to a new power plant at the Cape years ago. Was down there for weeks. Most of them ate dinner at 11 pm...maybe 10 pm if they wanted to eat earlier. 😉

In Buenos Aires on the 5th. Which is not what we booked of course, since we never booked the mini legs...we booked the quarter to end in LA. Not sure what hoops we will be on...like a B2B2B now I guess. This cruise seems to be a project in process. And not sure what the full cruisers will have to go through either....with going through all the processes of the 17 legs and how it will affect them as well.

I asked the concierge...we are approx. 1490 pax. On this quarter anyway. I believe numbers will go up as we go through the various legs/quarters.

Through the ship, booked online with RCI in advance. I never know what to expect. Have had some good ones...and some not very good ones. Am actually sticking to RCI tours on this one from this point, though we usually do our own thing, as we did until we reached Brazil. Kind of like knowing that we will be guaranteed to make it back to the ship...by one means or another. 😉

Exactly. And not a McDonalds or KFC in sight. 😄

The World Cruise is awarding status on the day you turn the next level. Nice they are doing that. 🙂

Your wife could be my best friend...we think alike. 😉 And I love to design various meals using leftovers...no waste. I never use a recipe...sometimes a good thing...sometimes not so good. 😄
