  1. We have enjoyed our feathered friends in bigger numbers today. And please don't call them "Seagulls" as I have heard some pax call them. It would be like calling an Eagle a Chicken. 😑 🐔 They are "Boobies" several types exist...these being "Masked Boobies"...and no...not the type that wear pink on BC awareness month. 😉 These pretty birds live on Flying Fish...have fantastic sight and diving talents. Most times will be easier on them if the Flying Fish actually fly (to get out of the way of the moving ship) but they can also see them just under the water. So fun to watch. Not having a real camera...just my crappy phone camera...was tough to shoot decent pictures of them.
  2. You got that 100% right! 😄 Though, I know I am crazy to say so...but I love to cook, and miss making my creative meals. Especially my home made soups and stews.
  3. Thanks...Wow...indeed drama queen for sure. A wanna be Pinnie? 😉 Funny how the "know it alls" simply don't know a thing at all. 😄 Truth...from a Pinnacle that is actually ON this ship: As a Pinnacle we get the "boil and fry" (AKA wash and fold)...we get that on this ship as full or quarter cruisers. No difference. We always get that on a one week cruise. As a Pinnacle we get the six drink vouchers per person... per day...plus 3 comped bottles of wine delivered to our cabin on embarkation day. So pair that with suite's free drinks and ability to bring on a bottle of wine per person on embarkation......please show me to the nearest AA meeting! 😵 So, free drink package also no difference to us As Pinnacle we get free unlimited internet. So does quarter and full WC cruisers. Again, no difference. Pinnacles being treated special on this cruise?? No way...and in fact nothing special at all. Even the Pinnacle "Cheers with an officer" which we get on any one week cruise, was lackluster. My steak was terrible. I doubt there will be another one of those until after first mini leg. Numbers: Pinnacles total on this quarter: 102 (someone turning soon...so will be 103). Pinnacles doing full WC...41 (two of them in a suite).
  4. It's tough enough to plan out meals I make at home to make them different each time. 😄
  5. Indeed the little "sweeties" are the best. Bucky has around a dozen banana plants (trees) in our backyard...yup we live in a swamp. 😉 We also had them when we lived on Merritt Island. And indeed they are tiny when mature...and oh so sweet! 🙂 When we would have too much get ripe at once, I would pre mash a bunch of them and put them in Ziplock freezer bags with just the right portion each for banana bread recipes...ohhhh...sooo tasty! 😋
  6. Ellen, our sweet Chops hostess from Brazil brought some of her favorite Brazilian tiny bananas on board. She went back into the kitchen to prepare these herself, sending them out to us. Yumm! 😋
  7. Breakfast in Chops wonderful as usual. The staff loves to come around like Eve with the forbidden apple offering those pastries. 😉 We have resisted so far. 😇 My usual Saturday spinach, ham, onion and mushroom omelet more than made up for it. 😋
  8. Ahh...Ok...thanks. Our CD painted it as a new show. Oh well...recycle. 😉
  9. Show last night was cute. Steel drum band and 3 dancer ladies in full huge feather headdresses. The ladies went into the crowd and pulled audience members up onto the stage and later dancing on the stairways. The kind of band and dancers you see marching down the street at Carnival. I should have brought my phone to take pictures since they turned the lights up to do so. Sorry about that. The cutest one was the legally blind lady who could really get the moves on. She was good! 🙂
  10. OMG....you can't see the northern lights in Antarctica...or most especially at the equator. Yeah, figured that was the the size of the IQ of those video posters. 🤡
  11. We were just back from Viking eastern European river cruise for 3 weeks (Bucharest to Amsterdam) starting out on the Danube just above where it dumps into the Blacks Sea before we left for this cruise. Though we didn't do the Suez...and I don't want to.
  12. Yeah, I am lucky. Bucky is the one pushing me to book more cruises. 😄 We did the Med B2B and then the TA last year on Wonder. 48 days...just flew by. This will as well. We are used to being gone from home for longer stints though, with spending the summers in Maine. Just not months on a ship...but we like it so far. 😉
  13. Thanks my friend! 🥰 This one just happens to be a little bit longer to enjoy. 😉 Hmm...happy hour approaches! 🍸
  14. Yup...agree...it's a cash cow for them. 🤑🐮 Old ship, lots of things they did not bother to fix. Lazy day today, enjoying some of the books I brought along. Happy we are enjoying calm seas and plenty of sunshine. Another new show to check out tonight, and the menu in the MDR does not look too bad. Yeah...eat, drink, eat, drink...repeat. 😉
  15. We have a "Local Cooking Experience" tour in Buenos Aires. I thought it had read 7:15 am...but looking at our tickets...it's 7:15 PM. Oh boy...will need some espresso martinis before we go. 😬 They do eat dinner very late (compared to us) in South America. 10-11 pm dinner is not uncommon for them.
  16. Yeah, like the "revolving" bar in the VCL. I think RCI has simply given up on those "unique" features.
  17. It worked for me making it into two different 63 night cruises. 😉 These last 3 weeks have flown by. 😮 Can't believe it is already one third into it now. But the best part of the rest of this quarter for me......is the best coming up. 🥰
  18. Yeah that is what I figured as much also. 😑 Bunch of drama queens looking for attention. Once again makes me appreciate Cruise Critic. It is in the "safe" mode. 😉
  19. You got that right. Bucky would be so annoyed at me when I would just give up and go to bed since my eyes were drooping. I did not want to be rude and snore in the theater. 😄 Loving the 6:30 and 7 pm shows. I think our demographics are showing. 😆 Not a night person, but then I am up at 5:30 to go for "walkies" on deck 12 as the sun rises. Right now though...the sun is all the way up at 5 am 😮 (our time..2 hours earlier than EST).
  20. I was also on the Wonder in the Med...for two weeks. Then stayed on for the TA. I think Marseille was one of the bus shuttles out of the port...but we did not shuttle to the terminal and then have to find yet another transport from there, which these last two were .......being basically two bus/transfer rides. We had no problem taking the complimentary shuttle bus to town in ports like Marseille with Wonder. Worked well. This was a double transfer thing this week.
  21. Definitely! It was hysterical indeed! 😁 We also could not stop laughing when he did the little red lights...especially when pretended to eat a bunch...then "farted" them onto the back screen. 🤣
  22. I am sure they will keep it interesting. While I am not on the whole 9 months, we are on for half. Would be too redundant to show the same shows over and over again for most. Headliners simply fly into a port to join the ship, then fly back out again at another port. For us...IMHO the "Gold Duo" were the best. Wow. We are pretty much doing every show, every night. Works very well for us with early dining, as they have the shows at 6:30 or 7 pm. Used to be tough for me to wait until 8 pm for shows on other ships.
  23. Checked out the pool tables again. I believe there is a tournament scheduled at some point, we found the one tablle back to the straight position again, and the set up on each table. But...they are not doing the the self level. 😮 Very interesting game Bucky and I just played. Balls were rolling around on their own to make it more interesting. Get set up behind the cue ball, and it decides to run away from you. 🤭
