  1. Did you set this up in advance as a group. You can't do it after the fact. Its based on cruise fare which is less than the cruise fare you see published. The total fare is made up of cruise fare, non comissionable cruise fare and taxes. The average non comissionable fare is about $250 per person. If the total cabin cost was $2000. Subtract taxes (I'll use $150pp) then subtract non comissionable cruise fare (use $250pp). This leaves cruise fare of $600 per person. Your rebate would be based on the average cruise fare of the 8 rooms divided by 2 as you get 1 persons cruise fare for every 8 rooms.
  2. Were you past Royals final payment date. The OP is. Big difference.
  3. No. If you cancel you are out the full amount. That changed in June. No more FCC's issued. It is only a $100 pp penalty if you change sailings
  4. A lot of people finding that a shock...that and no more price drops after final.
  5. There have already been the D letters that are left in the staterooms posted on line showing that drinks up to $14 are covered
  6. The OP is after final payment and in the 25% penalty phase of the booking.
  7. You are in the 25% penalty phase for the next few days and then you will be in the 50% penalty phase. Best not to delay your decision. Those that were referring to the $100 fee were making that assumption as if you were before final payment. Here is the cancellation schedule.
  8. Thanks for thet. I'll gave to keep an eye out as that is very shady.
  9. If you think Royal is bad for slashing their prices you should check out NCL. Just had a suite drop from $6600pp to $2200pp after final payment
  10. It's new. Just had a client e mail me a few days ago as all 6 of hers were showing. My guess is that it is a work in progress and they are going to streamline the check in process for consecutive cruisers
  11. No idea on the block thing. That has to be a nightmare to manage.
  12. Royal seems to be on the habit of assigning staterooms closer to sailing lately and many times there are none available to switch to once yours is assigned. If location is important then pay more and select your room.
  13. This was definitely an issue during Covid with all the FCC's that were being issued after final payment or being sble to cancel nrd bookings without penalty.
  14. What you stated sbout FCC's was correct up until July however the non refundable deposits now are 100% forfeited if they cancel. No FCC's are issued. Definitely should be booking refundable.
  15. It's all automated off your reservation number. Neither the LA or anyone on board has to send anything to Miami for you to get your points.
