  1. Which is the exact same as North America. 12 and under means just that and not 11 as some are saying.
  2. Great to hear although I must say I have never seen a promotion that excluded kids prices. The most frustrating thing though is dealing with Royal employees who do not even know their own policies.
  3. The radio station I listened to as a teen (Andrew will surely know of the Q) used to have advertisements for beer and cigarettes, now it ***** (ED Dysfunction drugs) and hair loss products.
  4. Not sure if the rules in the UK are different but that is certainly not true for North American bookings whee it is 12 and under where 13 is considered an adult.
  5. Never realized you are from Australia and I can't access the Australian website but maybe it's possible you have different booking terms but I would not have thought that they would change ages for kids based in the country.
  6. Yes kids under 6 are free but the 12 and under for the kids rate is the same as the rate for the cabin.
  7. They are cancelling and rebooking. Royals cruise planner system does not allow for matching or OBC for the price difference
  8. The rep told you incorrect information. It is 12 and under.
  9. It is 12 and under at the time of sailing. Depending on the sailing if he is the third passenger in the cabin he may or may not be free. There are lots of blackout dates...summer, march break and holiday are all bleached out and do not qualify for kids sail free. Other than Kids sail free age is irrelevant in the ricing as a 6 month old passenger would pay the same as a 60 year old.
  10. It sucks but it does happen. The easiest way to deal with it is to keep it as the same reservation number and on paper as non refundable but have them make notes that in the unlikely event that you did cancel it is actually refundable. (I know this doesn't do you any good as you are well into the nightmare they created but maybe for someone else) That way nothing is messed up for cruise planner purchases etc. I've had to do this numerous times and even had to cancel a couple and it was never an issue.
  11. Typically when talking about this only full sea days are counted as travel days but if you want to get nitpicky....
  12. Unfortunately I think it will be a long time until you see that.
  13. We did it in 2022 on Voyager. They did take the overnight in St. Petersburg away but replaced that with 3 other ports...That is still my favorite cruise by far.
  14. Good to hear. Always been on Oasis class over the holidays and it's been a no. Will be on AD this year over Christmas.
  15. Dining packages do not work for the holiday nights. You must pay the full price if you want to dine on Christmas or Christmas Eve for those restaurants that have the special menu.
  16. I'd love to see a ship out of Amsterdam doing a mix of Norway and Baltic cruises
  17. Good news . Large ships will continue to be able to call at all Norway ports until 2032 https://www.forbes.com/sites/davidnikel/2024/08/28/norway-allows-cruise-ships-in-world-heritage-fjords-until-2032/
