  1. Someone needs to make you a proper cuppa. Tea also contains more caffeine per mg. I'm not familiar with UK P&O (older market) but enjoyed sailing on their Aussie sister line.
  2. As a British cruiser I'm fine with no kettle in my room but when cruise lines put kettles in rooms leaving the UK some brits see it as a massive thing. P&O Uk and Oz do it for all cruisers too. Almost every hotel room in England has a kettle. A lot of us get the shakes if we don't get tea within 10 mins of waking up. 😆
  3. Here's an idea. Eat whole fruit from the buffet or room service.
  4. Hi Sailing out of NOLA next month. Flight is at 1pm instead of the 6pm (thanks AA for changing that). We always take our own luggage off but worried we won't make the flight. Would also appreciate any CCL airport shuttle advice. Normal cabin within FTTF. Thank you
  5. We are not Carnival's typical target market....In our 30s and British academics. We started our cruise journey with Carnival and have always loved the value of Carnival. We have only done longer cruises with them. We like the party atmosphere, the good size rooms, the fact lots of things are thrown in without being VIP etc. We find some of the entertainment options like the hairy chest contest awful but you can ignore these. We also find CCL doesn't put a lot of their budget into productions. We have cruised alternative lines and upgraded lines and even an Australian budget line that isn't Carnival if you look at my signature. To be honest, the differences are minimal enough for us to be none loyal to most cruise lines out there. The trick is to be open to new experiences and chose your cruise based on ports and price. a few things: - Princess and X have better food and a bigger food budget but not as many fast food spots as CCL - Other cruisers are a little more discerning on other lines but still friendly - Ncl and RC have smaller cabins - Other lines have more package deals that can save money. This can work out cheaper - Upgraded lines have little extras such as fizz on arrival and better appointed dining room set ups but nothing stands out to us as extra special - Formal nights are better attended with dress but still casual is seen - Theatre entertainment is often more spectacle like and higher budget on all other lines but we love the fact CCL has a comedy club - CCL has more trivia on than other lines -Other lines are a little quieter but parties etc are still well attended
  6. Thank you Does onpoint do last minute bookings? Arriving 3 days before cruise
  7. Hi. We've done 2 long Carnival European cruises.Med and Baltic so not your ports except Amsterdam. In ports that had an easy walk without an industrial no public access dock no shuttle was provided. I In ports with a no footfall industrial port there was a free shuttle and one with a long walk to the centre Carnival provided shuttles for a fee. When we were in the Prides sister in Amsterdam the shop docks very close to everything. No shuttle provided but you really didn't need one. We went to Bilbao with RC. I don't remember a shuttle so it must have been an easy walk. If you are worried about bus routes consider the red hop on hop off buses in Europe. They almost always stop near ports and go to around the city. Also ask this question over on the European ports boards.
  8. Thanks all Been a while since I sailed with Carnival.
  9. I don't have any....possibly repeating a cruise I had already done but even then I would probably still want to go.
  10. So what I'm asking is when you all booked online when did you put in the other guests details? I'm about to book the cruise and pay the amount in full but it only lets me add my name details and number. I don't want to book a cruise with a random name as second guest and be charged to change.
  11. Hey Just booking a cruise for next month using the VIFP number cheers sale. I've entered in my details but there is nowhere to add my husbands before the final payment. I'm on the initial booking part and about to pay the full amount as cruise is next month. Do you add other guests names and vifp number after the initial payment?
  12. Thanks for the advice. Anyone know if these bookable, provide your own US test sites? I'll check azova first but might need a few options in case they only accept US peeps.
  13. Haha spooky! I've just tried to book a qured fit to fly and it has asked me for a flight date? Would that be my cruise date? So if my cruise departed on the 14th id put that? Or a day before? Thanks
  14. The best thing we have found so far is Qured. They seem to have testing centres in both the US and UK to observe you doing a test. Hopefully we could take these with us after buying in the Uk and have a UK health professional observe virtually then send the report. They do 9am to 9pm uk time so easy to match to US time.
  15. Hi Booking the glory out of NOLA for mid August. The 2 companies Carnival recommends to buy covid test kits for don't ship to the uk and the port testing they provide isn't available for our dates. Can anyone help with Carnival approved covid test kits that have observed healthcare professionals that ship to the UK? Failing that....places in NOLA that we can book. Thank you
  16. Thank you Looks pricey but may be out best bet. Can you walk in or have to book?
  17. I'll check your post. Haven't got any notifications about that one yet.
  18. Thanks! I will research these Ncl accepts these in the US?
  19. Anyone got an idea how international cruisers can book a pre cruise test for NCL? The diagnostics lab place on their website doesn't ship tests out to us in the UK. We will be cruising from NYC on the Breakaway so anyone with knowledge with that area for testing would be great. Thank you
  20. Hi Likely cruising out of NYC on the Breakaway late August Trying to find out where to get a proctored covid test pre cruise as We will be holidaying in NY pre cruise. Called NCL and they were no help as the clueless agent said I didn't need a test which is wrong of course. The diagnostics lab place they recommend doesn't deliver to the UK. Happy to go to a centre of have a kit delivered to us here in the UK. We are fully vaccinated and just need to test 2 days pre cruise. Any advice? Thanks
