  1. Our wait wasn’t much longer than ten minutes, and we were soon seated at Table # 110 which was a table for two. Of course, the couple sitting at the table for two next to us were only 6” away. Happily, they were a very nice couple, and we enjoyed talking to them. For our appetizers, Patti had the flatbread, and I had the alligator fritters….. We both enjoyed our Caprese salads….. For our mains, Patti had the lasagna, and I had the spareribs. All were excellent….. We both chose the apple pie for dessert….. Have to say, we enjoyed our meal, and we were out of there in about an hour. As we left the restaurant, we noticed that the Chef’s Table was being held in the Chic Restaurant Annex….. The Art Gallery is directly across from the Annex….. We stopped at the Lobby Bar to watch the Shine Strings perform for a while….. To be continued…..
  2. So long Grand Turk! We’ll see you next time! Next time being in about six days! We get showered and ready for the night. We decide to give the Chic Restaurant a try tonight. We have YTD, so at 5:30 I request a table. The app says we have a ten minute wait so we head down to the Millennium Lobby. Patti took the time while we were waiting to get these pictures of the Monticello Library….. To be continued…..
  3. We are getting back on board the Freedom…… Here’s the view of the pier from our balcony….. They are working to repair the missing sections of the pier….. The Carnival Freedom sails away promptly at 4pm….. The Freedom spins around to head out to sea….. To be continued……
  4. Based on Saint Greg's Comedy Club schedule Jorge Solano will be one of them. There will be more.
  5. A short time later our food arrived. We shared an appetizer of Lava Lava Shrimp….. Patti had the Turkey Club, and I had the Jambalaya….. Because I don't want to forget that she took these, here’s a section I call Patti’s Grand Turk Flora & Fauna….. We relaxed, drank, and took dips in the pool until we decided to leave around 2pm. We paid our tab which was $136 with tip and left our Grand Turk vacation home. The pool never really got crowded….. This is the Pool Retreat for two which is sold on Carnival’s website for $150. The cabana rentals are $280….. The last order of business is that I have to collect my Sail & Sign card at Margaritaville. I forgot to mention earlier that when you rent a cabana, you have to surrender you Sail & Sign card. Not because you can charge the food and drinks to it, which you can’t. You need a credit card or cash for that. They hold your card until you pay your bill. This way you can’t skip out without paying. No pay, no getting back on the ship! We are now on the pier heading back to the ship. To the left you can see the excursion pier and the beached whale….. To the right is the beach which is quickly emptying…… Patti gets a picture of me with the Freedom….. To be continued….
  6. Patti has made it back to Margaritaville….. Margaritaville Beach Shop and Beach Bar….. Patti arrives back at the cabana and Stephanie comes to take our drink and food orders….. Here are the drink and food menus….. Our drinks have arrived….. To be continued…..
  7. Here are a couple of views of the Freedom from the Beached Whale…… Patti heads over to the Conch Graveyard….. Looking back at Ol’ Stubby from the Conch Graveyard….. Patti begins to head back to Margaritaville. She passes the massage hut….. To be continued…..
  8. Patti heads over to the Beached Whale…… This is the Beached Whale Restaurant….. The bathrooms are nearby….. To be continued…..
  9. Patti heads back out into the Plaza and some of the shops….. Here's where the shore excursions depart from..... Patti checks out the Friendship 7 Exhibit….. To be continued…..
  10. Patti catches me hanging out by the pool….. The pool and pool area are still not crowded at all….. Patti heads inside of Margaritaville….. To be continued……
  11. Now that's funny! Wish I knew what I was running for though. Thanks for joining the fun and providing us with a laugh!
  12. Hey Greg! You know that I'm along for the ride. Should be a great time. I would be watching the game on the Lido!
  13. She'll be Ol' Stubby until October. 😀 No they do not. 😎
  14. It's been BOGO for many years prior to the pandemic. 😎
  15. Yes there are, and plenty of them! There was at least one dog hanging around. We also came here on the Spirit leg of our S2S cruises, so more pictures to come!
  16. Wow, they've come a long way in two months then. They are still working on the gift shop and bathrooms. If you are fairly able bodied, then about 20 minutes.
  17. We spent the day at Jack's on the Spirit leg of our S2S. Don't want to give away any details now, but be sure to read it when I post it.
  18. The food still looks and smells very good….. This is the water in front of Jack’s Shack. The beach is not rocky at all….. Here are a couple of views of the Freedom from Jack’s Shack….. Patti makes her way back to the Grand Turk Cruise Center and Margaritaville….. Here is the office for the Flowrider. It is not in operation today….. To be continued…..
  19. Patti has reached Jack’s Shack….. The place has really been upgraded since the last time we were here. Jack and Janet have retired back to Canada, but the new owners appear to be doing a great job….. To be continued…..
  20. It wasn't that bad this time. Probably because we were the only ship in port today.
  21. Our server today is Stephanie, and she has already delivered a bucket of Turks Head Lager for me and two bottles of water for Patti….. I’m basically set for the day. I’ll take a swim in the ocean, and then hang out in the pool. Patti heads for the beach. She’s going to take a walk over to Jack’s Shack….. To be continued…..
  22. Patti knows exactly where to find me. We call our Cabana # 9 our Grand Turk vacation home! Here are some inside views of our cabana….. Here are our views from the porch of our cabana….. There is a shower right by our cabana….. To be continued…..
  23. Patti gets these pictures of a nearly empty Margaritaville pool area….. To be continued…..
  24. Here’s another view of the Carnival Freedom docked in Grand Turk. We will be the only ship in port today….. Remember those pesky chair and umbrella vendors that used to clog up the beach in front of Margaritaville? They have been moved down the beach…… This is what the beach in front of Margaritaville looks like now….. I immediately head over to Margaritaville to check in for our cabana. Patti hangs around the Plaza for a bit before heading to Margaritaville….. These are the restrooms by the pool area….. To be continued…..
  25. The Freedom approaches the dock at Grand Turk. There is still a section of the dock missing from the last hurricane….. These dock workers will help get the Freedom tied up….. We are docked by 7:45am. We leave the ship just after 8. Only the forward gangway is in use because of the missing section of the pier. Here are a couple of views of the Freedom….. To be continued……
