  1. We will hopefully be on a cruise from Barcelona to Rome this summer. After we get off the ship we will be visiting Venice for a few days and from the port need to get to the train station to catch a train to Rome and then one to Venice. If we have breakfast and take our suitcases off ourselves how long will it take for us to get to the train station? Am trying to figure out for when we are able to book both legs which times would be best with no issue of missing a train. Thanks!
  2. Thanks! Where on the website did you find it? When I click the thing at the top on the main page that says about requirements and then the first thing on that list says about testing and lists locations does not have Europe there.
  3. We will hopefully be going on a 7 day cruise from Barcelona to Rome this summer. When we booked this in the fall you did not have to take a Covid test for most cruises less than 9 or 10 days but since then nothing is mentioned on the website for just Europe says for transatlantic you do. Has anyone been on a similar cruise in Europe recently that can say if they had to test or not? Thanks!
  4. Alaska was our first cruise on Royal many years ago. We left from Vancouver one way through the Inside Passage to Seward. Our ports were Juneau, Ketchikan, Skagway, and Icy Straight Point. One day we sailed by Hubbard Glacier. We also did a 3 day land tour had a little time in Anchorage before the bus to Denali where we stayed overnight could go on an excursion and got to see some of Denali National Park the next day and took the train to Fairbanks. We were on a riverboat and panned for gold. I can’t remember what else. Then we flew home. It was amazing!
  5. Just want to wish Happy Chanukah!
  6. We did our first cruise on Royal for Alaska many years ago around Memorial Day and loved it! It was 7 days from Vancouver to Seward on Radiance and then the land tour we saw some of Denali and took the train to Fairbanks.
  7. There are 3 of us that would like to find a private tour we can customize to where there is time for 2 of us to climb the Leaning Tower of Pisa and then see a few things in Florence. One person can’t do a lot of walking has lost a lot of stamina over the last few years. I have tried doing a search online but unable to find something like this, Any info or help is appreciated. Thanks!
  8. I ordered the refreshment drink package for our summer med cruise on the website not app when they had the Halloween sale and last night ordered the surf and stream internet package they had a good price on that.
  9. I went on yesterday and for our cruise in the summer the surf and stream internet package was $16.99 plus $8 something for an extra device which I thought was a pretty good deal
  10. I was looking around last night on the RC website for our 7 night med cruise next summer to see if any new info appeared and noticed the Stream and Surf package was on sale for $16 or something like that so I jumped on it. I think for the Halloween sale it was twenty something so figured this is probably the lowest I will see it go.
  11. Our first cruise many years ago was on RC to Alaska out of Vancouver through the inside passage ending in Seward. We also did a few day land tour and it was amazing!
  12. We are like you and don’t drink alcohol. We thought the refreshment package was well worth it on our last cruise maybe 5 years ago and I just purchased it yesterday under the sale price for our cruise next summer. My DH is a huge soda drinker plus some water. He has food allergies and in the past they could make non dairy mocktails for him. I like some of those as well as tea and water and some soda. Plus you get fresh squeezed OJ in the morning.
  13. I have family members who have food allergies which are dairy, no salt, and can’t have any spice that is hot like black pepper and also has to avoid garlic and onions. Prior to Covid over the years we had been on 4 cruises with Royal. We pretty much ate dinner in the MDR and had been told when we came on board to stop by there so they could note the issues and select what to have that first night. After that as someone mentioned during the meal each night they were shown the menu for the next day and picked what they wanted. We had breakfasts in the Windjammer and they were able to prepare eggs with no dairy and salt and could have fruit and a few other things from the buffet. Everyone was so wonderful accommodating. We had postponed a med cruise a few years ago and are booked for next summer.
  14. I have family members with food allergies so need a recommendation of a resort that offers breakfast every day where you can get made to order eggs and possibly other items. Thanks!
  15. I thought ETIAS does not begin until November 2023 or did that change?
  16. Next summer we will be going on a cruise leaving out of Barcelona and visiting a few cities in France and a few in Italy. I was looking up entry requirements and noticed besides the passport we need to show proof of why we are there and proof of our finances. What is the procedure for when we arrive in Spain? How does it work when on the cruise do we have to at the first France port show our cruise documents and a few months of bank statements and do that at the first Italy port?
  17. After our cruise we would like to stay in Venice for a few days. I would love a hotel recommendation that is near St. Marks and also has for breakfast made to order eggs and other items as I have family members with food allergies. Thanks!
