  1. I am Team Sunset Verandah. I did it twice on Edge and have two Apex sailings booked in SV. I sail solo but the extra $$$ are worth it to me.
  2. We like Hilton Gallery One on Sunrise. 15 minutes to the cruiseport. Unlike most other hotels, there is no resort fee.
  3. Would you be willing to share info about the Rome apartment? I have a TA booked Barcelona to Ft. Lauderdale but plan to spend three days in Rome before taking the quick flight to Barcelona. I’ve been researching Trastavere since you mentioned it a few pages ago. As soon as I saw you mention two bathrooms and a washer, I was hooked! Thanks
  4. I received the email early this morning...came home after work to complete...totally disappointed in the context. I presumed they would want thoughts on past cruises (they may have even appreciated that I am a very happy cruiser). Instead they are vague questions about having completed a recent search, why didn't you finish, what's your age and income (as if), blah, blah, blah. Glad I didn't rush home to complete it.
  5. Interesting webinar; I agree that the new president is very likeable. As far as changes to AI, I am a non-drinker so if they were going to knock three perks down to two, I would be happy with WiFi and gratuities. Perhaps down the line, that will be an option.
  6. I was in a SV on deck 9 on Equinox this past February. I have also sailed in SV staterooms on two other S class ships. I wouldn’t hesitate to book it again! That’s my idea of happiness 😎.
  7. Eagle Beach in Aruba is beautiful. It’s a quick and inexpensive bus ride from the port.
  8. Yes Mary…of course I remember…good times on that cruise, right? I’m sailing on Apex in December followed by a B2B on Silhouette in February and again on Apex the following December…can’t wait! tnm6217, thanks for letting us catch up on this dreary, rainy Chicago Sunday. Enjoy the sunshine 😎 Susan
  9. Following along. Our group sailed on Equinox to the ABCs and Puerta Plata this past February and it was great. Sounds like you are enjoying the same excellent adventure!
  10. Same…I will board with some Gatorade to keep in the fridge.
  11. I am a meat and potatoes kind of girl…I am thinking about pulled pork slider trio, either filet or BBQ ribs as a main, baked potato (with a ton of butter to top it off)…and THE WARM CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE!!! I also love the burger but can do that at lunch on a sea day! Unfortunately, the friends that we are sailing with on this short cruise don’t want to spend $$$ for a specialty restaurant 🤣. My friend that is doing the next sailing with me along with the others that are joining us will be at LCG for day 1 of the second sailing. This is a meal that requires “expandable” pants…just like Thanksgiving 😋.
  12. “Drunk crazed passengers” throwing furniture sounds like a Carnival passenger got on the wrong ship! 😱
  13. My absolute favorite specialty restaurant…well worth the cost. 😋
  14. We began in Honolulu on 4/26 so were sailing into early May. The temps were great…warm and sunny. We did spend some time in the Solarium one day midway across when it was windy. We booked side by side SVs so we could enjoy beautiful sunsets as we sailed east to Vancouver.
  15. Also following along. We are doing a B2B in April on Silhouette. I am anxious to hear about your adventures and enjoy the photos. Susan 😎
  16. Sadly, it’s easy to be defensive as I have heard the term on these boards and on the ship.
  17. As you didn’t include “LOL” after your reference to “the poor schlubs”, I can only assume that you truly believe that those of us hard-working individuals who sail solo in an SV (and are darn lucky to be able to do so) should bow and scrape when you or your contemporaries pass us in the hallway.
  18. We did Tuscan the first night onboard in February…enjoyed it so much that we ate there again on the last night. The meatballs, filet and garlic mashed potatoes were delicious. I am a meat and potatoes kind of girl so Tuscan just did it for me!
  19. I wear it so much it’s become “holey”, but it’s a reminder of a Cunard cruise so I just can’t let it go 😉
