  1. Thanks Jim, Since the first leg is just four nights, it should be pretty easy to make the move…I only plan to unpack what I need for that short time. Once I get back on the ship, I can totally unpack and get comfortable for the next ten nights. I do hope to be in touch with both stateroom attendants in the first few days to insure an easy move. Susan
  2. Thanks Mary. I do remember heading back to my stateroom after breakfast on the last day on Equinox and seeing you in the hallway helping with the rolling rack. Moving right next door should have been easy peasy 😉. Best laid plans, right? We booked 18 months out, but our friends on the first leg were happy with a standard stateroom. Second leg is our favorite SV. Susan
  3. I typically use points to take $$$ off my cruise fare. I just used 50k points to take $500 off my upcoming Silhouette cruise. I did it a couple of weeks ago and was able to complete the transaction on line.
  4. My head is spinning. I have previously read multiple different posts about B2B day...each with different information. I called Celebrity last week and got an answer that most closely matches Jim's info in post #9. We are planning to get off the ship (hopefully as early as possible) to meet relatives that live in the area...quick lunch and return. We also are switching cabins and hope to be able to at least put our valuables into the safe in the new cabin before leaving the ship. I know I have to attend a meeting during the first cruise to get all the info I need.
  5. Wow...I am merely "Elite" and paid only $79 for the same Foot & Ankle Massage on a port day on Apex. And the wonderful technician threw in a eye treatment as a bonus.
  6. I can truthfully say that I have no negative comments about Celebrity (or any other cruise line that I have sailed on). A cruise ship is my "happy place"! From what I have read, the bulk of the criticism is from suite guests whose benefits have been dimished or deleted since final payment...or is something they came to expect from prior sailings. I cannot begrudge someone expecting what they paid for and not receiving it. I have never been, nor do I expect to be, a suite guest. While I typically travel with friends and family, I have a cabin to myself, usually a SV. Since the end of the pandemic, Celebrity's prices have been kind to me as a solo (I have three booked cruises for 2024 to continue the streak). My understanding is suite prices have skyrocketed so I'm happy in a SV. In December, I sailed with my cousin and his daughter on Apex. She has sailed with Celebrity several times, but it was the first time my cousin had cruised...his only ship experience was when he was in the Navy. He was bleary-eyed watching all the wonderful YouTube videos before we sailed. I followed up with forwarding positive reviews. I didn't see the point in possibly clouding his judgment by giving him a glimpse of someone's unhappiness. Success...he loved everything about Apex!!! I spent many years in retail and remember learning in a seminar that seven people will complain compared to one person's compliment. I'm happy to be the one compliment. You are going to love Edge!!! Susan
  7. Thanks…I have a B2B booked on Silhouette in April. Part 2 is the ten-night. When I read a positive review like yours, I get even more excited? Susan 😎
  8. It was 2008…my first Princess cruise, and we loved it. The ship was beautiful and the crew beyond accommodating. It was my first cruise after about a ten-year gap and I got addicted to cruising all over again. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
  9. I recognize the blue and gold macaw since I have one sitting on my shoulder right now! His name is Sinbad and he’s my bestie ❤️. I would love to say we are enjoying this snowy Chicago day, but I can’t lie!!! Loving your review…my mom and I did a similar Panama Canal cruise on. Coral Princess. Susan ⛄️
  10. Yes, non-refundable is used first. I got a refund of my TA OBC last month after using up the non-refundable OBC. No need to go to guest services to request the refund, but I did verify towards the end of the cruise that my balance was refundable. It took about 7 business days for the refund to show up on my credit card.
  11. It’s not just “a cookie”…it’s the best warm chocolate chip cookie topped with vanilla ice cream 😋 on the planet, Just thinking about it makes me wish my Silhouette sailing was sooner than 90 days away 😉.
  12. I sailed on Apex a few weeks ago and was very happy with the OceanView Cafe… especially the StirFry station which was absent a few months ago on Equinox. I also enjoyed the carving and pasta stations. I am not a veggie eater so can’t comment on that. There was also shrimp cocktail every night…I’ve never seen that before! I would have eaten at the OVC more if I had more nights! Enjoy 😋
  13. My first choice is always a SV. I love the wake view…also don’t mind the long walk to the aft of the ship. That allows me an extra scoop of gelato 😉
  14. B2B on Silhouette in April…first four night cruise with friends we made on our first cruise on the Cunard Countess. Second ten night cruise with family and friends…just a girls trip. Apex in December. Happy New Year 🎉
  15. …and sadly looks like she was hired to design all five ships in the Edge class. There were multiple negative comments early on when Edge was released, but the same design “flaws” continue…thinking about the lovely coral sculpture 😵‍💫 for starters.
  16. 65? Horrors! Sounds like December in the Midwest is a distant memory 😵‍💫. I just got a text from my relatives who are spending the weekend on Marco Island…there are coats involved!!!
  17. We enjoyed the fruit skewers when we got back to catch the tender in Grand Cayman a couple of weeks ago. That special touch, along with a cold face cloth and glass of water, is one of the special little perks that Celebrity provides and I appreciate so much 😎. Susan
  18. We ate at RGG on the first night f our recent Apex cruise. Definitely my favorite meal of the cruise. I recommend you wear “expandable” pants so you can enjoy the cookie 🍪
  19. I have booked and canceled (due to the pandemic) Snooze Inn a couple of times, but I have two nights booked there pre-cruise in April. I’m happy to read your glowing report about the place. And no trip to Ft. Lauderdale is complete without a trip to Primanti Brothers. I actually had two lunches and one breakfast there a couple of weeks ago! Thanks for the great Reflection review. Susan
  20. I sat in one of those chairs on Apex last week. It was surprisingly comfortable…not sure if I could cuddle up with a good book for any amount of time, but I liked it!
  21. Hi Mary…it’s Lola from Equinox. I just returned from Apex…what a great trip. Glad to hear from you. Happy Holidays Susan aka Lola 😎
