LIVE from Harmony B2B First 2 US Sailing's

My dinner tonight was the Caesar Salad and chicken breasts. The chicken was delicious. The main dining rooms are stacked on decks 3,4, and 5 so it can seem very loud. Letha had the NY Strip dinner, not as good as Chops sampler today, but still good.

If you have an inside cabin and you are worried about the dark cave like feeling, you can turn your tv on to the outside cam to have a current time virtual window just mute the sound. That way you don't waste the day away thinking it's still night time. The tv sizes are actually pretty big.

I will tour the Grand Suite this afternoon. I have a

Very busy schedule today with Escape the Rubicon at 10:00am, checking out the Warwick in Nassau, and touring cabins back on board until 4pm. No new shows tonight so I will explore some other rooms I've not been in yet.

I'm not a fan of the location of cabin 14329 it is ALL the way down the hall away from any stairway areas. I did like art along the way though.

Sisters did try out the zip line and Abyss yesterday. Keara wasn't allowed to go on the Abyss because you have to keep your arms straight to hold the bag you slide with.

:DI'm Happy Chippy:D and I love cruise critic. I learn so much from everyone and I'm still learning, but I want to share my upcoming journey with you. I've been counting down for 240 days since I won a cabin on the 2 night preview Nov. 8th Harmony of the Seas cruise, I decided to book the 3 night cruise on Nov. 5th to make it a full 5 night cruise. I've cruised before, but this is my first MEGA ship, and my first time cruising out of Ft. Lauderdale. This is going to be a "Girls Getaway" Myself, My sister, Friend, and Niece who is 11. We're flying down from Ohio this Thursday, Nov. 3rd and we are going to stay 2 nights at the Hollywood Beach Marriott. We're going to explore every inch of that coast North and South. On this 5 night B2B cruise, we will have 2 days in Nassau. The first day we are spending the day at the Atlantis Resort and Waterpark, and the second day we will do just a Beach day at the Hilton. All our reservations are booked and ready. We've done our online check in, I've downloaded the Royal IQ, Cruise Critic, and Taptalk App to keep everyone informed as we go. Already purchased the VROOM, dinner and shows booked, and we booked Wonderland reservations. On the first 3 days we have an Inside cabin for the 4 of us, on the second mini cruise we have 2 separate inside cabins, so we will be able to review a total of 3 inside cabins on different decks. We are all very excited for this trip and looking forward to share our journey with you. Appreciate any advice from any of the more Novice Cruise Critic friends as I've probably been following and been inspired by many of you.

Do you have day 1 cruise compass you could post. I am curious what activities (rock climbing, water slides, zip line, etc.) is open when you board.

Thanks

What time did general boarding begin yesterday?

They started general boarding by 11:30am. I will say the first couple of hours it seemed really busy as everyone with their luggage congregated to the Promenade and Central Park areas

One more observation, if I cruised Harmony again I don't think I would put a debit card on file. I don't like the "$50 auth holds" I'm not a big spender or drinker and I prepaid gratuities so it was not necessary for them to auth $100 in two days. I know it will drop off I'm just sharing my observation. If/when I sail Harmony again I will not put a card on file and just settle it with cash at the end of my cruise or those RCI gift cards might be a good option. When I cruised with CCL they only did auth. at the end of the cruise day to cover what I spent, and then one final charge for all expenses.
