Same MDR lunch menu all week?

Recommended Posts

We will be sailing on Allure in 3 weeks (yay!)

I've heard that the main dinning room serves the same lunch menu all week ?

Is this correct?

Not sure who you "heard" this from but it's bad information.

On the ships we've been on, we've seen more than one lunch menu.

There are 3 or 4 lunch menus that they rotate. There are specials each day. I think one of the best parts of MDR lunch is the Tutti Salad Bar. The other part is the lunch desserts. I think they are better than the dinner desserts:)

There will be daily "specials", but most of the items are the same....it's not a huge menu....

There are a few different lunch time menus..... mains and desserts..... there's plenty to choose from..... I'll post the different ones that I have.

On my 15 night transatlantic last fall those four menus rotated throughout. Was just enough variety to eat there most days and try quite a few different dishes. The luncheon soups were always quite nice and not ones offered at dinner time.

I think on the 7 night cruises they rotate 2 of the four menus each week, though I'm not sure which two would be offered on your particular sailing.

Aigh. Those "tandoori" lamb skewers... Ordering those was probably the biggest disappointment of the last cruise. They seemed to be cooked through and had a little caramelization on them, but the consistency was about that of pâté and they barely clung on to the skewer. Only dish I've ever actually replaced because I was unhappy with it, rather than just because I discovered I wanted something else more.
