Just booked first Oosterdam cruise need some advice!

Hello all! We just booked our first cruise on the Oosterdam! We have cruised several times on the NA as well as the Westerdam. Any advice or suggestions? We booked two Signature Suites this time as we are taking our daughter and family. She has two children ages 1&6.... have zero experience with kids on HAL so any advice you might have will be greatly appreciated! [emoji41]

Thoughts on the Oosterdam?

We really enjoyed the Oosterdam. She's a fine ship!

We just got off the O, and we weren't disappointed! The crew always seems so happy and helpful on her. We've used the O for or last 3 cruises. The signature suites were all redone in late 2016. She's going in for a 2 week dry dock now, so there will be other changes and renewal of some areas. She's the same class as the Westerdam, so you'll be familiar with the design of the ship.Enjoy!

I was on the Oosterdam in February. I like the way the Lido was re-decorated - very tasteful. Good crew and service. Food in Lido and MDR above average, and I enjoyed the Sel de Mer pop up.

Thanks everyone! I am really excited. Not sure what it would be like for my daughter and family but I think the eastern Caribbean itinerary will work well for a family with small children.

I just got off the Oosterdam and loved the ship. It showed that it needed some of the work scheduled for the dry dock like worn stairs carpet but that will all be taken care of in the next 2 weeks. The decor is beautiful and we were very happy. All things that were gripes will be fixed. Well appointed and we loved the bar in the back of the casino.

I'm guessing that there will be people who post their impressions of the redo on the main HA board. I'm sure there will also be reviews posted in the "Reviews" section of Cruise Critic after the end of the cruise. You can always use the "search this board" function and search on Oosterdam to see all posts about the ship.
