NCL Upgrade Advantage Bid Ranges

For reference purposes, I'd really like to know what the prices are for all scenarios of this program because it might be worth starting at a higher category to then upgrade higher.

So far I know:

Inside:

Ocean View = $25 min - $200 max

Balcony = $50 min - $400 max

Looking for other level's upgrade options and price ranges. Please post those you know of in the same format.

(And not to be rude, please refrain from general comments on this topic as there are plenty of threads for that already.

If you look on the website for the same ship sailing the same itinerary, it is easy to see that the cost varies from week to week...nothing remains the same.

Given that, isn't it just common sense that the bid ranges are also going to vary week to week?

Breakaway 10/29

Booked cabin H6

H2 $750-$2000

H3 $750-$2000

H4 $500-$1500

Booked cabin B1 (1 cabin was a CAS comp, the other a straight NCL booking). The bids are the same so I now know CAS bookings do not get higher "offers" then people paying full price for their cabins.

H2 $1500-$3000

H3 $1500-$3000

H4 $1000-$2750

H5 $400-$2000

H6 $750-$2000

H7 $400-$2000

H9 $400-$2000

Minisuite $25-$400

Looks like you have received some ranges.

I will add that on our recent cruise, the range from a 2BR to the 2BR have was $200 - $1500 I think. But a few weeks later it changed to $600 -$1,500. In reality, it did not matter much. There were no 2BR Havens available and no GV. Only one OS and that disappeared a few weeks before the cruise.

In the end, knowing the exact ranges is of very little value. And knowing what $$ value got the upgrade from other cruises is still of very little of any value.

The only important number is what others have bid on the current cruise and what values those that bid actually won. Not even NCL can tell you that answer until the week before the cruise because somebody else could come along and bid higher than you and win. Or there are no cabins to even move into.

Not to be rude - but this information is meaningless as far as I can see. I would love to have someone explain how it would help.

Another unknown - what percent of people actually get an upgrade?
