Securing a wheelchair once on board Royal Caribbean Navigator of the Seas ?

Recommended Posts

Is it possible to get a wheelchair once on board the ship? Do they charge? Celebrity does not.

The cruise line will let you use a wheelchair to initially board and finally depart the ship.

However, they are not in the business of renting wheelchairs or scooters for the duration of the cruise. You must arrange that yourself. Here are some companies:

I asked on Allure last week and Guest services said it would be $75 to rent a manual wheelchair for a week. Scooters have to be rented at least 3 weeks prior to the cruise, via their special needs dept as an outside company supplies them.

My experience is they have a couple of manual wheel chairs for people who have injury's or issues while on board. But if you know your going to need one you need to rent one from the company's listed above. It will be waiting for you in your cabin when you arrive and you leave it when you go. You can not go down to the infirmary and just request to borrow one.

You can request a shower stool (its not a chair) if you need one from your room Stewart.
