Cruising on NCL's Pearl to Alaska in August

Having met some wonderful staff members on other cruises, what countries are the staff from on the Pearl? I found the NCL Pride of America's staff were all Americans but they were not as respectful and helpful as from other countries!

They will be from all over. The POA is a specific case as if it US registered, and therefore has to have American crew.

On most NCL ships there will only be a few US crew (usually in higher levels or entertainment). Most are from places like the Philippines.

Usually there are between 55 to 70 different countries represented on board any Norwegian ships.

Just got off 7 days on the Pearl. Top 2 countries were Phillipines and India. Remember some from Indonesia, Latvia, China. No Western European nor South American countries.

Staff on the Pearl is like any other mass market cruise ship. POA is the exception to teh rule because it is US flagged.

My 38 year old son has fallen in love with a European or South American blackjack dealer every cruise for the past 15 years!!:D

Can't wait to see who he falls in love with this July.:rolleyes:
