Did the Rhapsody Cabin Numbers Change a few Years Ago?

We just booked 8092 which is second from the aft on port side. The reviews seem to define a true aft cabin, with comments like long deep balcony etc. On the Vision (sister ship) 8092 is a true aft cabin.

To add to the confusion, we gave up 8022 because the reviews said it was a grand suite under the Windjammer. But 8022 is not a grand suit, and is not under the Windjammer. It is close, but appears to be under the pool deck.

Which is better, 8022 or 8092 on the Rhapsody with the current deck plan?

A few years ago they did change the Cabin #s on Rhapsody when they added some new cabins mid-ship. Any reviews from 2011 and before would be for the "old" cabin #s. My preference would be 8022. It's between mid and forward elevators so convenient to other venues like WJ and the Theater. 8092 is the next to the last port side cabin. IMHO there's nothing special about the location.....unless you want to get a lot of exercise walking.

Yes they did, and there was a bit of a scandal.

Those who had bookings at the time of the cabin change weren't reassigned to the new cabin number. So people who had specially booked that cabin early e.g. aft, hump found they were reassigned to just a bog standard cabin. And people who looked at the reassignment grabbed their old cabin. And RCL then just said too bad, so sad to the ones with the original booking.

A lot of annoyed passengers arose from the way they handled that.

Have two Rhapsody cruises scheduled. One this Feb and one in Jan 2019.

The one in 2019 gives me 8596...a huge corner aft balcony comes with

that...which is still the same on both deck plans.

Question of course will be....will RCI still have Rhapsody by then since it is for sale. I will miss it dearly..nice ship and crew. :o

Wish they would keep it, and go back to selling off MJ instead. :(
