okiebaugh Posted March 29, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 29, 2015 Would love to hear from runners about their favorite track at sea- which ships do u like?
chipmaster Posted April 3, 2015 #2 Share Posted April 3, 2015 Not a long runner, but the tracks i've seen on three princess ships make me do my 2-3 miles on the treadmill. The lower decks don't work.. and the "track" as the ships call it are all too short, like doing indoor track season.:D
alfaeric Posted April 6, 2015 #3 Share Posted April 6, 2015 (edited) Easily, the Oasis/Allure/Harmony of the seas. The track is on deck 5, and is well over 1/4 mile in length. The deck isn't one that many people hang out on, so the track is normally clear. Edited April 6, 2015 by alfaeric

anthonyy7 Posted September 26, 2015 #5 Share Posted September 26, 2015 Regal/Royal Princess track with run/walk lanes are perched high up on deck 18 by itself which is nice. 7 laps is a mile and the views are amazing!
canadiancruisers11 Posted March 15, 2016 #6 Share Posted March 15, 2016 Agree with Anthony...Royal and Regal tracks are awesome...Long, winding road and wide too so you can keep your tempo...Not so fun into a head wind but the views make up for it. greenfroggie Posted September 7, 2016 #7 Share Posted September 7, 2016 I've tried running around on the sun princess and the solstice. It never really works out in your favour.
xrayjng Posted November 11, 2016 #8 Share Posted November 11, 2016 I will be sailing on Anthem. The track looks pretty large. Does anyone know how long 1 lap is? It seems to be the whole length of the ship.

It seems to be the whole length of the ship. A little over 1/3 of a mile- it's just over 2.5 laps per mile.

[emoji3] It's so nice to walk/jog/run and not have to dodge people carrying two plates of food from the buffet to their pool chair.
Spacecaydet Posted February 13, 2017 #11 Share Posted February 13, 2017 Allure (oasis class). I run a lot and typically hit 70+ miles for at least a few months a year. The allure track is situated in an area that isn't much traveled but still provides beautiful views throughout most of run. The ship is so large that it's about 3 laps per mile and the allure itself is well marked with mile markers. I was able to do uptempo speed work without fear of running into others or needing to slow much for sharp turns. I wouldn't even confuse a treadmill if sailing this ship. rocktog Posted August 19, 2019 #12 Share Posted August 19, 2019 On Disney Fantasy (and Dream) the 4th floor is track. 2.5 laps = mile. Works well in early morning. It’s interesting to run on ship, as you run uphill when the boat lifts in the swells and downhill when it falls. Since everything looks so similar, I put a water bottle at my starting point and hit a lap timer on my watch for each lap, so I can keep track of distance. Since ship is moving any gps is crazy. But it’s still fun to have a gps track run and see a 4 minute mile 🤣
twodjs Posted August 20, 2019 #13 Share Posted August 20, 2019 With the strong focus on fitness, and what looks like a track separated from any invading loungers, the Scarlet Lady from Virgin Voyages likes like it could be a winner.
