Question about guest information on cruise planner

I am new to Oceania. When filling out the guest information on the website (the one that asks for your passport numbers) I was wondering why it didn't require a credit card. I'm use to Celebrity and I always need to supply one. Does anyone remember if theirs asked for this?

If hacked, those guest information forms already have far to much information on them for my tastes! Why add insult to injury with credit card information?

One pays for things as they go along. Ship shore tours, La Reserve, Privee, final payment, etc. Pick and choose the credit card you use at the time, no need to have one “ on file “.

Oceania needs a credit card on file as well. They just don't need it in advance. Providing them with your card info is part of a quick and painless check in process at the ship's terminal. You will love O. Bon Voyage!

Thanks Harriet!

Yes I understand at the port terminal but with our HAL you also need to give credit card info in your booking file when you complete registration. I’m excited about O. Worked to our advantage. We live in San Diego and will take a Panama Cruise to Fort Lauderdale and then only 3 days later up to Miami for a TA on Riviera!!

What luck. Everyone is so nice on CC and as always great info!
