Questions about Rhapsody of the Seas

Recommended Posts

We're booked on the Rhapsody, leaving Tampa in March, and I just have a few questions. We have been on cruises on Royal Caribbean before, but not on a Vision class ship.

Are there mini-fridges in the rooms? We have a large ocean view room on the 2nd floor.

I was looking at dinner menus online. I noticed the ones posted online had symbols for gluten free, dairy free, etc. Are these menus on all cruises?

Is there someplace to find breakfast menus online?

How does the rock climbing wall work? Do you sign up in advance, or just wait in line?

Thanks!

Is there someplace to find breakfast menus online? the usual suspects. the MDR has a standard breakfast plus a muesli bar. the windjammer has expanded options usually plus a made to order egg station. some things you may be able to order even if not on the menu( like Eggs Benedict) IIRC one day in the MDR features chocolate options like stuffed French toast and pancakes.

Thanks!

in addition, the Park cafe in the Solarium has breakfast sandwiches in the morning plus cups of grab and go things like fruit or yogurt. I also HIGHLY suggest you go THEWRE for lunch on embarkation day although sit won't be open until either noon or 1( I forget which) paninis, salads and possibly a topping bar for the burgers, dogs and sausages laid out. and of the course the ever popular Beef on Weck sandwich.

I am looking at booking Rhapsody. Reviews are good or bad, nothing in between. I am specifically interested in the casino. What is the overall experience. How large is the casino? What are table limit minimums. I play mostly 3 card poker, blackjack, and ultimate Texas hold'em.

I had an ocean view on deck 2 last year. No fridge. As for menus, they were using the seasonings dinner menu rotation.

Are these the Seasonings dinner menus? http://www.cruisewithgambee.com/royal-caribbean-main-dining-room-menus/

They are the only ones I have found.

Yes, I will speak to the Head Waiter. And I'm familiar with pre-ordering my meals the day before. I just thought if I could see the menus online with the symbols it would make things a lot easier (for dinner, at least...) With an egg allergy (as well as wheat) breakfast is much more challenging.

The casino isn’t very large. All the games you noted are played in the casino. Typically $5 blackjack minimum but some days they have $3 minimum with the lucky lady bet. Just finishing our cruise and from what the dealers told us there weren’t many gamblers on this trip. We were in the every night. It seemed a lot of people used the casino not for gambling it for the smoking aspect.

We just got off Rhapsody and I would recommend looking at a different ship. She hasn't been fully refurbished in years! I really think RCCL is going to sell her - a lot of staff thinks so too!

The casino is very small. My DH loves Ultimate Texas Hold'em and it wasn't on this ship - apparently they are on larger ships.
