Irish Eyes Are Sailing Posted March 7, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 7, 2018 Hi All, can anyone tell me how long a ferry ride it is from the Royal Navy Dockyard to St Georges? Thinking of doing that after visiting the Dockyard before returning to Hamilton. Timing will determine if I will even consider it. Thank you! SailBadtheSinner Posted March 7, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 7, 2018 It is about a 45 minute ferry ride each direction, RND <> SG. SBtS
leaveitallbehind Posted March 7, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 7, 2018 Just check the schedule before hand as the number of ferries are limited and can vary by weekday and weekend. But it is an easy and pleasant trip with nice offshore views of the island in transit.

leekel619 Posted March 18, 2018 #5 Share Posted March 18, 2018 Do you know if the ferry runs on Sunday. We’d like to take a round trip boat ride. Not even get off. Just to look at scenery. We’re going on an island tour Monday and we’ll be stopping at St George’s for awhile. Definitely not going Tuesday. I don’t want to miss the ship. Not taking chances. Scaredy-cat. The ferry to Hamilton runs on Sunday, the ferry to St George's does not. This was true for the public ferry and the NCL ferry in 2017. It’s not that scenic that it would warrant a round trip- you’re reasonably offshore until you head into the cut. Would be much more worthwhile to get off and see the town.
