Taxis from Amsterdam cruise port to B & B

Is there a taxi line for passengers getting off a cruise ship. Have read that in Amsterdam you need to be sure to get a legitimate taxi service or you could get ripped off. We are only going a short distance but with suitcases we would prefer to ride.

Can't be sure our phone will work to call a taxi company

yes there is a line but you could always walk to the Movenpick & see if they will get one for you as well

You could prebook one then have them meet you just email them the night before to confirm

There will be a line, difficult to tell how long. I am sorry to say they sometimes overcharge.Apart from a cab, you might consider using Uber.

We just returned from a few days post cruise in Amsterdam and used Uber to get us from the ship to the B&B and then from the B&B to the airport. We waited till we were at the meeting place outside the terminal to order the Uber ride. Our wait was under 10 minutes.

I am embarrassed to admit that I have absolutely no experience with Uber. We'll be arriving in Amsterdam from a Scenic river cruise. How to I arrange an Uber pickup to take us to our B&B?

You need to put the Uber app on your smartphone and have data roaming.

Thanks! We will be on the Brilliance sailing May 15th! Anxious to see what they did in dry-dock. Will be using uber both ways for our 3 day stay after the cruise. Was uberx available or was it only uber black? Hope you enjoyed your cruise even with the stormy weather

I have been emailing them with questions about transportation from the Cruise port to our B & B and they have been most helpful. Its also probable that the Canal guest house can arrange for transportation to pick you up.
