Pet Posted January 12, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 12, 2018 Hi - Sailing on Marina in May from Montreal to London and have selected the free 8 shore excursions as part of the deal, two in Canada and two in the UK. This is a bit of a "what if" question but could find nothing on the Oceania T&Cs regarding their policy if the ship is unable to call at a port where we have booked one of their free excursions, because of the weather for example, and thus they are cancelled. Would we be offered the chance to book another excursion later in the cruise, or if this was not possible would we be able to claim some form of pro rata OBC to spend instead to compensate? Many thanks:p
azam71209 Posted January 12, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 12, 2018 Not sure about cancelations but when we did OLife tours on our Rome-Venice cruise, one excursion was poor due to an inexperienced guide who just marched ahead and seemed unable to understand the concept of waiting until the entire group (some with canes) had time to catch up to begin talking about what we were seeing. Some of us complained and we got a letter of apology and a 50% refund. Not sure if it was refundable or non-refundable OBC because we spent it. :-) Our other tours were great. Paulchili Posted January 12, 2018 #3 Share Posted January 12, 2018 Oceania values O Life excursions at $100 each. Thus you would most likely receive $100 non refundable OBC. It is possible, but not guaranteed, that you could substitute for another excursion - this would be an exception rather than the rule, IMO. loves2read Posted January 13, 2018 #4 Share Posted January 13, 2018 On our Nov. 2016 cruise on Marina, we missed the port of Livorno where we had an "O Life" excursion booked. We were able to replace it with a ship's excursion in Toulon.
Go-Bucks! Posted January 14, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 14, 2018 One of our ship excursions in Havana, Cuba was cancelled. We were given a choice to either join another excursion or get $100pp non-refundable OBC. Most of the tours were already full and we didn't like the leftover ones so we took the OBC. Two stops cancelled where we had O tours booked. One was a paid and other was O choice. Paid was automatically applied to account as refundable OBC. For the O choice I had to go to destinations to ask. As noted above it is either another tour or non refundable OBC at $100pp. But the point is you have to go to destinations and request it. Looks like we will be doing some end of cruise shopping.
Eloquence Posted January 14, 2018 #7 Share Posted January 14, 2018 The Destinations department will send a cancellation note to your stateroom. You will be given the option to book another excursion, or get ship credit ($100 I think). This happened to us on Riveria in Dec 2017.
