Everything Millenium

I see threads for some of the other ships but no consolidated point for information on the Millenium. *Am I missing it?

Typically the 'Everything' threads are reserved for brand new ships under construction and continue for the first few months that the ship is in service to consolidate information as current and future guests talk about the ship. Not to be confused with Roll Call boards which are for specific sailings on Celebrity Cruises ships.

Celebrity Millennium, being one of the oldest (and much loved) ships in the Celebrity Cruises fleet, won't have an 'Everything' thread because a lot of people just ask specific questions by starting a new thread. It may be a general question (dining, cabin type, types of entertainment) or specific (cabin numbers, special dietary needs) etc.

Here is a bunch of information I've gathered to help get anyone started on 'all things Millennium', and assuming you are cruising from Miami, some other tips on breakfast, etc. There's also generic *information that's common fleet wide.

Stupid iPhone. If I type too fast sometimes I accidentally hit the expression icons on the bottom of the text box. Sorry!

Thanks for the heads up. Got it corrected! :)

Your welcome:):D:)

OMG - This forum is as amazing as you DMWMC1959! It was very nice of you to take time to compile the list. For a first time Celebrity Cruiser and first time on Millenium your compilation is very appreciated. Leaving in 2 weeks!

THANKS for the kind words!

There is a TON of great information in reading the threads especially the recent 'LIVE from' by KagarooCruiser and Tuggers. So much information it's hard to remember it all.

I think after this information overload it's going to be hard to to relax and enjoy myself, but I'm going to try real hard. ;)

If you have other questions don't hesitate to ask.

I hope you have a great cruise. :D

We're on the November 14th sailing and have also found your compilation very helpful. I LOVED Kangaroocruiser's blog, it has made me even more excited for our sailing! I was wondering if you had any information on certain days in the 5 night menus being swapped? I think I noticed in Tuggers' blog that 4 and 5 were switched. We're trying to figure out which day to book the Olympic, and want to ensure having a specific time, so knowing definitively which days have which menus would be a huge help.

Thanks again!

AnnaMiami - I have read posts over the last year stating that dinner menus are sometimes switched, but it appears to happen very infrequently. I also haven't read any posts that The Olympic Restaurant on Celebrity Millennium being sold out on any nights.

I think it may be pretty safe to check the menus posted daily outside of the MDR and decide then if you would rather dine elsewhere.

Sorry I couldn't be more help.

If anyone is going on the Celebrity Millennium from mid-December until her refit in mid-April and have questions that you need answers to please post them here and I'll make every effort to get you answers. I've earmarked the thread in Tapatalk and can also post pictures, as well as taking my Netbook and downloading pictures while on the cruise to post later.

There are quite a few of us going in the next couple of weeks that would be glad to assist. There will be at least one LIVE thread that I know of, maybe more.

I'll be in a standard ocean view cabin so anyone also on future sailings in this, or any other type of cabin, and need specific details please ask.

I'll be doing a B2B starting Monday and can post answers while aboard from Embarkation to Turn-Around Day to Disembarkation. Lots of other folks doing a B2B as well. I'm flying into Miami tomorrow night and staying at the Intercontinental downtown, so can also get answers to any questions anyone has about this hotel.

One day and a wake-up! Yea! :D

dmwnc1959,

I'll be joining you on board Dec. 3. Would love to hear about the IC, as we will be staying there one night precruise.

Looking foward to your reviews on the first segment of your B2B - keep the Millie ready for me and my gang on the 3rd!

I took the November 10th Millinnium 4 night cruise. I was apprehensive knowing that it is going into drydock soon but all-in-all, we were quite pleased. It was a very relaxing, stress free long weekend. We only stopped in Cozumel so the sea days allowed for plenty of time to read books on deck (we made several trips to the library "words" onboard) & enjoy the better than average food. BTW, we had an outstanding dinner in the Olympic Dining Room. Even if they say its "sold out" keep asking if you really want to try it...we ended up showing up & they took us within a few minutes.

The sea day brunch buffet was over the top & like nothing I've seen on any other ships (this was our 1st Celebrity cruise tho).

Of course, there was wear & tear on the ship....the window in our outside stateroom was probably the most evident. The standard outside cabin was probably one of the largest we have found out of our past 12 cruises....& the shower was VERY sizeable. Furnishings still looked decent.

We enjoyed the quiet pool area & even tho the ship was nearly sold out, there was always tons of places to get away from the crowds.

Don't expect perfection & you should have a great time....we did have rough seas tho (12ft)...so be prepared if this bothers you, they are still quite rough out there off the coast of Florida today...

HI kathisu! If you want take a peek over at our Roll Call, there's about a dozen of us planning on meeting for sailaway around 5pm up on Deck 10 Resort Deck all the way aft. Here's a link to the Roll Call:

I hope to post a quicky review of the hotel, embarkation, and sail away before I lose my AT&T signal. Will also try and post things are going on the 11/28 sailing as we progress towards the 12/3 arrival to pick up 'you and your gang' and the good folks I've corresponded with on the Roll Call. I've never done a LIVE thread and am sure it won't compare to Tuggers or KangarooCruisers last LIVE threads.

Getting up now because I can't sleep. Its 3:30am and I better start packing and getting ready. Heading to the airport at noon. All giddy with excitement now!

More later....

My sister and I booked adjoining cabins for the July 13, 2012 Alaska cruise (cabins 7188 & 7190). On a cruise on RC this month, we noticed noise coming through the adjoining door from the next cabin. Also, the adjoining door had to be unlocked by the steward and left unlocked for the DURATION of the cruise (so could not be locked at night). Does anyone know about the noise level and lock issue? There is still time to change our cabin location if necessary.
