FCC credit amounts

Also, watch for the "Thank you for sailing with us" email from HAL. Comes about 2 weeks after your cruise (and I think mostly if you purchase a future cruise deposit) and it basicallt doubles your OBC ($200 now in the OP's example).

We booked a future cruise yesterday and received $500 each OBC + Pinnacle + Cannaletto, + Internet + $50 each beverage card.

Was that in connection with the current Anniversary Sale or just a promo for booking on board?

And I'm sure you didn't book an inside for that amount of extras...;)

Seems to be something only cruisers from the US/Canada seem to get.

We got one of those thank-you e-mails after our March cruise and no doubling of onboard credit was mentioned. And we bought several FCC on board as well.

I do not know how widespread it is in all of Europe, but we in Holland, get the same " thank you for cruising" mail and it works in combination with the FCC, but we have received the mail also when we did not have a FCC purchased. It does not double your OBC, but you can use them both for one cruise, so it actually ads up, in fact doubling your OBC.

The trick is to know all the deals HAL offers and which can be combined. Further, be sure the fare you pay has not been increased to give you the promotion. Booking an 11 day vs a 10 day cruise increased our OBC by $400 (for the cabin) - it was like getting the extra day for free.

On our 11 day Caribbean cruise we ended up with $1300 in OBC, plus the Pinnacle & Cannaletto dinners , plus 100 minutes of Internet, and $100 in beverages!

We used the Anniversary sale to start ($800 in OBC plus the extras), then the FCD ($200), the Thank You for Sailing email ($200), and finally the stockholder credit ($100).
