We got the voucher, inserted it into the nearest machine, waited until the credit was displayed, and then we hit "cash out". We got another voucher and redeemed it to cash. "Saved" the 5% commission on non-refundable OBC.

Thanks but not sure I understand completely. What if your obc is in your seapass account? Is there a way you can cash in at casino?

All OBC is in your SeaPass account. You can get a cash advance against your SeaPass account at the casino. If your SeaPass account is secured with a credit or debit card, you will get charged a 5% fee for the cash advance. If your SeaPass account is a "cahs" tye account, there is no cash advance fee.

As Ken has explained many times, you can initially set up your SeaPass account as a "cash" account. Do your cash advances at the casino, without the 5% fee. When you have decided you won't be doing any more cash advances, go to Guest Services and tell them you want to change to a credit card account.

We set up a "cash account" at the beginning of the cruise, by depositing 500$.

After cashing the OBC at the casino, the last cruise day - we took the 500$ back.

As Ken has explained many times, you can initially set up your SeaPass account as a "cash" account. Do your cash advances at the casino, without the 5% fee. When you have decided you won't be doing any more cash advances, go to Guest Services and tell them you want to change to a credit card account.

Ok.Missed that step - have not done this before. Our acct is set up by cr. card now so when boarding, can change it to cash (cash deposit required?), then cash out obc,, & change to cr. card account.

No cash deposit needed, RC will let you charge up to $500 above your OBC before they ask you to pay down the account.
