What kind of shoes do men and women wear on board ship during the day?

Depending on weather, flip-flops, sandals, sneakers....whatever you'd wear with casual clothes appropriate for the temperature!

You will see a whole variety of shoes depending on where you are cruising and what peope are doing in terms of activitites. For me, this might includes casual day shoes, sports shoes, deck shoes, sandals, etc.

You see everthing from brogues to filp flops. Lately I have been bring Crocks for going to the pool, sandals and Hush Puppies type shoes for casual dinners and going ashore.

Avoid skinny high heels for evening/dress up nights. Avoid smooth soled shoes that may be slippy on carpet, tile, or wet decks. I bring one pair of beach shoes (the light wt, slip in kind that covers most of your foot and are intended for protection from sharp objects when walking on beach sand), one or 2 pair of walking shoes, one pair of "fat" heeled dress up shoes, and a pair of slip offs for in the cabin and around the ships pool. I usually avoid taking a new walking shoe, in an expensive brand, for off ship use.

Sneakers/Tennis Shoes, Flip flops, boat shoes, loafers, etc.

During the day, I wear flip flops or Crocs clogs.

At night, I wear a casual shoe, or dress shoes depending on whether it's formal night or not.

Simplest way to answer. Imagine the Ship as a Shopping Mall/Hotel with a pool. Wear what you would to a Mall/Hotel/Pool.
