lovevacadays Posted October 4, 2009 #1 Share Posted October 4, 2009 I know the Crown isn't back in the Caribbean yet but thought maybe those who sailed her last spring, winter might know. Is there typically an Island Night type thing on her? I have been on the Sapphire many for the Mexican Riviera and they have a deck party at the aft pool in the late evening following Puerto Vallarta. I have always really enjoyed this and wondered if there is something similar for the Caribbean cruises?
KruzPrincess Posted October 5, 2009 #2 Share Posted October 5, 2009 I was on the Crown last November and will be back this November. I looked at my Patters and there was a "Tropical Island Night Deck Party" on Wednesday night. It was at Neptune's Pool (Deck 15 & 16 Midship). holidayhelen Posted October 5, 2009 #7 Share Posted October 5, 2009 On the tahitian we had 'island night' and we were allowed dress shorts in the dining room - I think it is the night on my profile picture - I wore an hawaiian dress and hubby wore hawaiian shirt and dress shorts
lovevacadays Posted October 6, 2009 Author #8 Share Posted October 6, 2009 Another thing to get excited about! I have my Island wear all lined up. I'm assuming music, dancing, food, games, etc?
KruzPrincess Posted October 6, 2009 #9 Share Posted October 6, 2009 Another thing to get excited about! I have my Island wear all lined up. I'm assuming music, dancing, food, games, etc? Yep, all that. It differs from ship to ship if they have food on deck, but there's always food in the buffet nearby. Last year, music started at 9:45 and the party started at 10:30. They usually have streamers and you party like it's New Year's Eve.....at least that's the way it was in years past. I didn't stay late last year. lovevacadays Posted October 6, 2009 Author #11 Share Posted October 6, 2009 Thanks all. I am getting so excited for this cruise - 5 1/2 weeks! It's been quite a stressful year and there is something about a cruise that takes all the stress away!
