RCI does not allow discounting its prices. You may find a TA who offers pre-paid gratuities, wine or on board credit. The only way a TA could offer cheaper rates from RCI is if they have booked a block of cabins to sell as a group. I have no idea what cheapest rooms would be best. But you should book now for next year to get the widest choice of cabins in your catagory. RCI honors price drops, residency rates, senior rates and military rates right up to a couple of days before sailing with the exception of Tues. one day "new bookings only" sales. Navigator is my favorite in its class. It is a gorgeous ship.

Welcome to Cruise Critic! I assume you mean 2010. I would book directly with RCCL to maintain control over the reservation. You should book now to lock in the price. You will benefit from price dops but won't have to pay any increases.

 

You'll love the ice shows and Royal Promenade on the Voyager Class ships. Happy cruising!

The E catagory cabins are the smallest balconies....those in the front and back of the ship are "less-desired" locations and will usually be priced a tad lower. However you book, whether with a travel agent or through the cruiseline, have the deck plans in front of you when you book, so you'll know what you're paying for!

A travel agent (brick and mortar!) will give you a brochure with the deck plans...if you want, you can go to RCI's website and request they send you a brochure...it's free and takes about 1 week. You MUST have the deck plans, to make a good choice!

We will also be newbies on Navigator in January

We have a D 2 stateroom 8630--someone said it is near the stacks & will be noisy..is that true? Otherwise the size & location seem fine for us esp. on a 5 night cruise.

 

We have only been on Radiance class & smaller so we are looking forwad to something new--esp. the ice show.. What are the parades? What else is diff from Radiance Class?
