So are drinks really $10 now?

I know I saw a few things mentioned on how Carnival has raised their drink prices from $6 and change up to $10, but I wanted to make sure it is actually true. I know they have every right to charge that amount, but man, that is going to really hurt. :(

When I was on the Splendor a couple weeks ago, I think that the drink of the day was $4.95, I had a Pina Colada that topped out around $7 including tip. If you order a specialty drink off their menu, they are usually premium offerings with double pour, those are probably the ones in the $10 range.

No.

There are some drinks that cost that much......there have always been those drinks on the menu.

It's your decision to buy one.

Prices have held for over a year now.

Don't believe everything you read here........

The person that complained her drink was over $10, that was two liquors in the specialty drink, and included the 15% tip. If you order a specialty drink, it will run higher.

There was also a special while we left port for $3.75 mimosas, and $4.75 from the other port for some other drink and $425 drinks in the morning.

Like G'Ma said "dont believe everything you read here"

The menus that have been posted recently show the INCREASE in prices that occurred this month. It is one of the reasons to listen to information on the boards so that you can plan and budget accordingly.

Prices before the 15% grats are added.

Soft drinks have increased in price from $1.75 to $1.95

Classic Cocktails went to $8.75

Funship Special went to $7.50 with the refill up to $6.75

Frozen drinks are now $7.25

The premium drinks will get you a $5 token at the casino. Just present your receipt to the cashier.

If I buy 50 Premium Drinks would I get 50 $5 tokens?

Not that I'd be in any shape to use the tokens, just curious if there is a limit to the number of drinks you can buy and still get the token....

Someone last week stated that is a special for a few hours only, and only at the bar by the casino. If it ran all week that would be a good deal, but the BJ tables would be packed.

Wow! What do they put in these $425 dollar drinks? And to think that someone was complaining about $10 drinks.

I found that to be true. Pina Colada and Mojito are classics, I guess, because I was charged $8.75 plus 18% = $10.35 rounded up.

So then I switched to Lemoncello shots, which were $6.50 plus tip.

Good news all around, I would say.

Just off the ELATION yesterday.

Beer $4.95 - tip .74 for a total of $5.69 (unless you're in a California port, then sales tax of .43 is added. (and we're still $49 BILLION in the hole ! !)

Bucket of Beer $18.00 with $2.70 tip for a total of $20.70 ($5.175 per bottle) cheap, cheap, cheap. :D

My son's Captain Morgan $9.95 plus .74 tip totals $10.69 ! !

DOD seems to be $5.75 plus tip of .86 for a total of $6.61

OR $6.75 plus tip of 1.01 for a total of $7.76 I don't understand the difference ?

I'm sure it depends on where you're from, but coming from So Cal these prices don't seem outrageous at all. Pretty much what you'd expect to pay in any bar in the basin here. And below any upscale bar for sure.

(A couple of years ago there was a Canadian lady complaining that a double shot of Crown Royal costs $10 ! ! )
