LAX parking

We have friends who live in Palm Desert; when they fly internationally out of LAX, they find it less expensive to rent a car, or 2 one-way rentals, than to park their car at LAX for 2-3 weeks. You might want to crunch those numbers.

Ultrarunner,

When we have an early flight out of LAX we stay the night before at Holiday Inn LAX on LaCienega Blvd. for $105. per night and it includes 14 nights free parking. This works out very well for us and they have 24 hour shuttle service to the airport and we know our car is safe. The hotel has all been recently renovated as well. If you need to leave your car longer than 14 nights, the cost is $12. per additional night. This is called the "Park, Stay & Go" package. If your plans change, you can cancel by 6:00pm the night before with no penalty.

LAX has long-term parking (lot B) located at 111th street and Aviation. It is about a 5-10 minute ride to the airport and they include a free 24 hour shuttle that regularly circulates LAX for pickup/dropoff. Parking is only $10/day inclusive of taxes. Never had a problem there. It is convenient enough to drop one person off with bags curbside, then park and shuttle back in that way you don't have to haul luggage on the shuttle. Upon return, you will likely have to haul luggage since you need to gather bags to go through customs (so no real time savings available to have one wait at baggage claim while other fetches car).

It is a long term parking facility that we use at LAX. We have a SUV and when booking a reservation online it is $4.95 a day. They have a bus that will take you to the airport and back. They also will wash your auto while it is being stored. This is the least expensive way to get the 3 of us to LAX for our cruise to Fiji. We have used them for several trips and have been pleased with their prices and services. Have fun on your cruise. We will be boarding as you disembark the PG.
