Yes, guys you are right.

Can't get into the photo gallery today.

When clicked it reads "internal server error"...:(

At least you're getting a message (internal server error)

It's Saturday morning now

and I'm still getting nuthin but the plain grey-background page(my chosen Firefox setting)

and the status bar declaring it Done.

It is D.E.D. -dead :D

Alright...it should have been fixed this morning. Can someone try and e mail me if it doesn't work?

Cecilia

The gallery is now up & running & I can see that some CC are managing to upload, :)

I have been trying for the last two weeks with no joy, the screen says upload successful but no image appears in the gallery:mad::confused:

Me thinks that some work still need to be done to rectify the problem:rolleyes:

I have sent a message to Cecilia regarding ongoing problems. Please be sure to message her (per her request) if/when you have problems. Hopefully we'll get 'the cure' soon :)

I have been able to upload successfully this morning 17/01/10 & have also received notification from CC that I have done so? Hope everyone is in the same boat (ship) LOL, look forward to viewing other CCs past & future cruising experiences.

Thanks to all concerned for rectifying this problem, keep up the good work & happy posting to all.

  • 1 month later...

Well... it's acting up again!

This time with unusual colors and peculiar behaviour!

I'm all fine and logged in to post on these message boards,

but when I try to switch over to the Photo Gallery

suddenly I'm a total stranger and need to log in, but don't see how to!

Maybe I've been banned??

Would be nice if someone told me what I've done wrong,now...

Geez I get enough of that from my wife!

On a regular basis over the last two years or so,

I've uploaded many photos to the CC Photo Gallery.

Suddenly today now (Tues. November 24th.)

I start getting annoying error messages upon attempted uploads which state

Unable to read the format of file: C:/Inetpub/wwwroot/photopost/data510/medium/fileName-123.jpg

so what's going on?

..........

Suspecting it was something on my side,

I uninstalled IncrediMail which I put in, just yesterday

and cleaned my Win. Vista Business Registry as best I know how

restarted the machine, to get the same annoying message.

Turning to Google I discover that I'm not alone

and this seems to be

some sort of photo upload problem relating to the server/s the photos are being submitted to??

Could that be it? -nothing at my end at all?

Has cruisecric gone and changed something in the last 24 hrs. or so??

Anyone know what's up?

- have I got a malware bug in my computer?

Anyone else having this problem uploading their pics to the CC Photo Gallery?

I've uploaded several (the same very)pics to my Facebook photo albums

with no problems from them (and that says a lot).

Come back...?

.

YOUR NOT ALONE ! I have been trying all day to load photo's but no joy

For the last month -maybe more- Cruisecritic's Photo Gallery has been slow as death.

Why I or anyone else even bothers to endure the time wasted is beyond me.

Would someone please please do something to get it working half-decent again?

Please?

Seriously, half decent would be nice -that's all we ask.

Thank you!

And I though it was my imagination a couple of days ago that it was slooooooooow ... (had not uploaded for quite some time)

Not your imagination, not your bandwidth or ISP problems

it's been like Death now for at least a month.

It was crawling for weeks before my cruise in early Oct.

and it still is.

I'm assuming that one of the duties of a moderator

would be to alert IT, when members point out malfunctions on these boards?

I could be wrong? but that's my assumption.

-and then again... maybe cruisecritic's photo gallery doesn't count!

.....................

Going thru all the posts in this thread

it's clear that it takes about a week for communication to get from a member pointing something out

to Laura S receiving word, and getting behind someone to dooo something.

Ok, so it's only been 48 hrs. so far

so I guess I'll have another five days of sloth ahead of me.

Thanks for noticing! ;)

Thanks for the advice - will try it out later. :)
It's working very well -let's hope it lasts awhile. :)

I'm thinking someone ran a Registry cleaner on the server that handles the Photo Gallery..

Well, it's been a year and guess what?

After uploading more than two thousand .jpeg images to the CC Photo Gallery

suddenly now it's a case of....

(): Sorry, this image type is not supported yet.

This has been happening now for several months.

I wrote to tell them and yes they know there's a problem

but their IT guys can't fix it, or they would have.

I wrote maybe 3 wks. ago.

Things take awhile.

And besides, the Photo Gallery is nowhere near as important as the message boards are.
